Oh dear, as soon as I've posted a question suddenly realised that I've copied the original sketch differently. What I've done is clicked on the sketch name in the Browser, so sketch appeared selected and I did Cmd+C. But then nothing has been inserted into a new plane when using Cmd+V. Finally I realised that you've selected the sketch by drugging a selection box around it and then Cmd+C. With this approach of selecting it works!! Is there a difference how a sketch is selected before coping it? I guessed that both ways of selecting it would be the same, but apparently they are not. Could you explain the difference please? Thanks :)

Some CAD tools allow you to select the sketch in the history and copy it but I think Fusion is limited to selecting the entities in the active sketch then a new sketch is opened and pasted....

It was very confusing as lots of resources said both ways are similar and then clicking on the browser history is "better" as it selects all of the sketch while manual selection could miss out some bits with complex geometry. Well at least I know the reason, which is slightly less frustrating after trying to do this for a day :)

Hello Tyler, thanks for the tutorial exactly what I wanted to learn. The only problem I'm having is that when I select create a new sketch and select our new plane; and then insert the sketch via Cmd+V it doesn't insert anything :( Nothing appears on the plane, however, in the Browser under sketches there is a new sketch icon appears with red lock on it, but it seems to be empty. Any idea what's happening? I've re-watched this several times and tried everything precisely, but still getting the same results described above :( Thanks for your help.

Doesn't work any more. Select sktech, ctr+c, create new construction plane, select it, ctrl+v and nothing happens. Seems like Autodesk did some changes.
