For me, this remains one of your most powerful lessons. I keep coming back to it again and again as I get better with Fusion. One thing that either I missed or you did not include converting a mesh selection to a sketch. I did the cut on an imported STL, got the mesh selection, but could not export the sketch as dxf. What I missed was Fit Curves to Mesh Selection with the closed spline options. BAM, I have a sketch to extrude, export, what ever.

Thanks Lars for that really helpful video. Darn, I have been using the project function for month now. And struggled some times, were Intersect a plan would have been my answer. You have added 4 new tools to my toolbox. Good video as usual. So glad you are back

Great video Lars. I am having trouble adding text on a round surface. I have to line up each letter and there has to be an easier way.

Sadly that is most likely what you have to do. The CAD in Fusion is based on mechanical CAD, not known for lettering details I’m afraid

Hey... I cannot project my curve because fusion gives error like: Warning: Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geometry. Can u help me?
@austinshaner3 жыл бұрын
That's because you cannot project a line drawn in the same sketch. In order to project a line, it must be from a different sketch. Simply close the sketch your on, start a new one, and project the curve.
