Best Begginers tutorial I've watched so far. I liked how you start super simple and built on that foundation going forward. You also demonstrated some crucial relationships such as switching back and forth from solid to sketch which drastically decreased the number of errors in drawings I was trying to create. I'll be here for every video you produce. You also take the time to explain things as you go and, I find, it gives more depth to my understanding of the lesson. Great Videos....... Keep them coming.

I have been using Fusion 360 off and on for the last couple of years, but have been lazy about taking time to really learn the software, which at times has led to considerable frustration and confusion. So, while not an Absolute Beginner, I learned some valuable tips and will continue to work my way through this 24 episode odyssey. FWIW, would love to see an in-depth episode on creating and using named parameters. I have seen the power of the approach, but it takes some planning rather than just diving-in. Wondering if like coding in C, the sooner you begin (without a plan) the longer it will take!
@AvivMakesRobots4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea for a tutorial. Parameters are luckily not all that complex. The most helpful reason to use them, in my opinion, is for linking two values that you want to always be the same. That way you only need to change one, to change them all! Naming parameters is good for keeping things organized in case someone else needs to use/ work on the file.

I’m learning a lot while watching. At 12:56 you mention making a line a construction. It would be helpful to define what a construction is. Maybe by updating the video with a sort of callout box since it’s the first time you’re using the term.
@AvivMakesRobots3 жыл бұрын
That is a good tip. Since I did not explain, construction lines can't be used to create features. They are a less powerful version of a line only useful for outlining sketches, placing tangent to a sketch etc. You can still dimension them, they just can't serve in creating features.
