For all the slight cringe it was, that arc also gave us the only consistent decent on screen romance we're getting from Toriyama and damn if Videl ain't a fan favorite so it's fine! Yeah it's a shame we never got a full season of Abridged for the Buu saga, but they said by that point they were burnt out and weren't sure they'd be able to write enough good material for the whole saga. These shorts came years later when another KZbinr, TotallyNotMark, was doing a review on all of Dragonball. He asked TeamFourStar if they could maybe do one small short as a joke for his review, and they decided to put together all of these for him instead, as they DID have some good jokes they were sad they missed out on by not doing the Buu Saga. So these were spliced throughout Marks video on the Buu Saga as he got to those parts in his discussion, and then TFS released them all like this in a video.

To answer a few questions, Uub (lil starving kid at the end) is the reincarnation of kid buu, "Best Buddy" was to goku in reference to goku always calling Vegeta best buddy in the abridged series. Tall buu with gotenx' clothes was because he absorbed them, same situation when he had Gohan's gi The person who shot buu and Hercule's dog was two criminals who figured the world was going to shit because of buu anyway so they'd do whatever they wanted, although one of them didn't want to and wasn't on board with killing the dog. They didn't know hercule or Buu were nearby so it was by all means accidental

Alright so Theres 2 kinds of fusions The dance requires a very percise form and it makes you decently strong. It only lasts 30 minutes. In theory, super saiyan gotenks would have been strong enough to beat fat buu. The kais earrings called Portara, can fuse anyone. It was originally a permanent fusion but it was retconned to only last an hour if its not fusing together with a kai. The earring fusion is significantly stronger than the dance, and multiplies their strengths. Also, Vegeto, is Vegeta and Kakarotto which is how they say Kakarot in Japanese. And in the Viz manga, they called him Vegerot.

Fused Zamasu in the Super manga got me so confused, cause for roughly 3 pages followed the mortal logic and Black and Zamasu defused, but then for some reason, Toyotaro decided that, no, they're still fused Zamasu, and now there's more than 100 of them somehow, all before the worst ending in all of Dragon Ball happened (Yes Zeno did still wiped out Trunks' timeline in the manga)

The thing with fusion is that it first combines the power of both characters and then multiplies it by 10s of times (Which could mean anywhere between 20 and 100 times) But to put it simply Vegito in base form is massively stronger than than super saiyan 3.

So for context: these werent initialy made to be posted on TFS’s channel. The channel Totally Not Mark is known for his massive anime reviews, and for his DBZ ones, he’d been including clips from DBZA. But of course when he got to the Buu saga, theres were no clips, as TFS had cancelled their plans to make DBZA season 4. They either offered, or Mark got them, to compromise, and instead made a whole episodes worth of individually abridged scenes from the Buu saga to use in his video, a surprise treat to DBZA fans everywhere. Only once both parts of his Buu saga review were posted did TFS upload all the clips to their channel to watch in isolation.

I never got why everybody hates on the spirit bomb. Because it DID work on vegeta. Its literally what defeated him. Goku threw it at him, he dodged, and Gohan reflexted it back into vegeta's back. It worked just as inteded. It also worked against boo, so thats a trqck record of 2/3 successful usages. Which is way better than the kamehamehas track record, which often just misses (without coming back) or isnt powerful enpugh.

Goku and Vegeta's fusion is called Vegetto because Goku's Saiyan name in Japan is "Kakarotto", and Toei already had used the better name (Gogeta) for a movie and Toriyama didn't wanted to repeat it.

The reason the Z Fighters try to stay in obscurity is specifically that they DON'T want the attention. Can you imagine? Look at the things Gohan does as "The Great Saiyaman". If people knew they could do that, and knew how to reach them, they'd never have any peace. People the world over would be constantly begging for help. And people being people, any times where they inevitably *weren't* there to save the day, people would start blaming them for not stopping whatever it was. Their philosophy is basically to let humanity be, and only step in to help with things humanity can't handle on their own (threats from aliens and the like).

Chi-chi's approach with Goten was different than with Gohan because Goku wasn't around. She helped train him to fight whereas she didn't do that with Gohan. She never even considered it with Gohan but clearly all the stuff Gohan ended up going through changed her mind about it. In both the original and the abridged Goten was more enthusiastic than Gohan when it came to fighting anyway. He's just got more Goku in his personality.

The SSJ transformations are effectively just power multipliers. Even though the boys are both SSJ, their power doesn't come close to the SSJ forms of their fathers or Gohan. In a serious fight, all three of them could beat SSJ Goten or Trunks in their base form. Even Krillin or Tien should be able to put up a good fight against them, at least when they're first introduced. (Worth noting: Although not canon, in a filler episode Mr Popo held off both at the same time without being too serious.)

Fusion is interesting because we don't know exactly how much it increases the power by. My personal belief is it hust multiplies the powers of the two being fused, since it is evidently more than them just being added because if vegito could destroy Buuhan but ssj3 goku couldn't beat kid buu that means vegito in ssj1 is stronger than ssj3 goku.

1. 37:15 Yup, the little girl is Pan (Gohan's/Videl's daughter), and the joke is that Dragon Ball GT sucks, partially because the series ruined her character by making her a whiny bratty weakling, even though her appearances as an infant in Z and Super have shown her to be really strong. 2. 38:19 Uub is the human reincarnation of Kid Buu. After Goku destroys him with the Spirit Bomb, he wishes that he came back as a good guy so they could fight again, and King Yemma for some reason hears this and grants his wish. He's another character that GT ruins, he fuses with Majin Buu later in the story, becomes Majuub and gets bodied in every single fight he takes part in afterwards. By the way, GT isn't canon and this was confirmed by the late Akira Toriyama. Super somewhat retcons the End of Z taking place between the Buu Saga and the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament - Goku and Bulma had met numerous times, unlike the original ending which suggests they hadn't spoken in the last decade.

Simple answer, although not 100% accurate. Fusion is basically two people's power multiplied with each other but short time frame. So imagine Goten is like 100 and Trunks is also like 100, then their fusion would be like 10k in base, in comparison their super Saiyan forms would be like 5k. So fusion > most transformations usually, hope this helps!

Gohan slacked off in the time skip and is now much weaker than both goku and vegeta who can both go super saiyan 2, buu dwarfs all super saiyan 2, super saiyan 3 is about even with buu but then buu becomes stronger. Fusion doesn’t just add their power it multiplys it so gotenks can match buu. The stronger the people fusing the stronger the fusion, so a goku and gohan fusion woul be stronger than a goku vegeta fusion

Different people have different opinions on how strong characters are compared to each other, so kind of take what anyone says with broad strokes. This is roughly how I see it: Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta are all in the same ballpark. Vegeta criticizes Gohan and says he's gotten weaker since Cell because he hasn't kept up his training, but it's hard to say if that really means Gohan's weaker or if he's just rusty. After all, even during his final clash with Cell, it took Goku's prompting to get Gohan to release his true strength. He's never been very good at it. Goku says Dabura is about as strong as Cell. Presumably that means the strongest version of Cell, but it's a little up for debate. He's also being vague, so let's just say they're in the same ballpark, too. Gohan and Dabura fight pretty evenly, but Vegeta or Goku could probably beat him faster if they had a turn. Goku is confident that he could beat Buu with Super Saiyan 3. Assuming he's right (and he might not be because we later see him fail to take its poor stamina into account against Kid Buu), we can say that Super Saiyan 3 Goku is stronger than the Jolly Buu. Gotenks initially tries to fight Jolly Buu in his base form and loses, so normal Gotenks is weaker than Super Saiyan 3 Goku. But after some training, Gotenks thinks he can handle Buu if he's a Super Saiyan, so assuming he's right, we can guess Super Saiyan Gotenks to be around as strong as Super Saiyan 3 Goku? Which goes to show that fusions are very powerful. Super Buu (the skinny/ripped one with no shirt) seems to be strong enough to fight Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, which makes Super Buu waaay stronger than Goku, and even more strongerer than Vegeta and Gohan. That is, until Gohan gets all of his hidden power awakened. This makes him even stronger than Gotenks, and he's able to kick Super Buu around. But then Super Buu absorbs Piccolo and Gotenks, making himself stronger than Gohan. He then absorbs Gohan, becoming even strongerererer. That's when Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegetto, who's even _more_ strongerer than this new Gohan-infused Buu. In the manga, Vegetto transforms into a Super Saiyan immediately, but in the anime he fights Buu in his normal form and still kicks him about, so it's hard to say exactly how strong Vegetto is, but he's almost certainly the strongest being we see in the whole manga either way. After that it gets way more contentious. When they free everyone Buu's ever absorbed, Buu reverts to Kid Buu--his original, pure form. Goku and Vegeta think they can handle him themselves at that point, and Super Saiyan 3 Goku manages to fight pretty evenly with him, failing to win mostly because Buu heals from everything he throws at him, and because Super Saiyan 3's stamina drain wipes Goku out before he can charge an attack to finish the fight. Taking all that into account, it seems to me that Kid Buu is around as strong as Super Saiyan 3 Goku, but there are many who disagree and believe he's actually the strongest version of Buu of all. I don't think I can do a good job of explaining why they think that. Let's just say there are lines of dialogue that support the idea, but it's really up for debate. The guidebooks have a few extra things to say about all the forms. For starters, they have a blurb that says fusion is "more like a multiplication than addition". Some people take this literally, but I think it's just another way of saying "they're stronger than the sum of their parts". After all, if it means to _literally_ multiply their powers together, then the power boost depends entirely on what units of measurements you use, which the guide doesn't tell us...and even if we assumed the unit of measurement was "battle power," like Freeza's men used, we can only _guess_ what Goku and Vegeta's numbers were at that point. The guidebooks do specify that Super Saiyan has 50 times the battle power of their normal form. It gives the example that when Goku fought Freeza, his normal form had a battle power of 300,000. Using Kaioken, he was able to multiply this up to 20 times, but that wasn't enough to beat Freeza. Super Saiyan brought his battle power up to 150,000,000, which beat Freeza's max of 120,000,000. Those battle powers aren't even in the manga, only the guidebooks, and they're the highest and last ones ever listed. As a side note, Toriyama-sensei said that as he was drawing the fight, he drew it with the impression that Super Saiyan Goku was ten times what he had been before, but also implied that it was fine that "50 times" had become the accepted number. A later guidebook says that Super Saiyan 2 is twice as strong as Super Saiyan, and Super Saiyan 3 is four times as strong as Super Saiyan 2. They specifically say "twice as strong" as opposed to "twice the battle power," and we don't honestly know if that difference in word choice is significant or not. The interesting think to note, in my opinion, is it shows that Super Saiyan 3 is a much more significant transformation than Super Saiyan 2...which makes sense considering how different 3 looks, whilst 1 and 2 look very similar.

With fusions, they've been pretty consistently stronger in base than the full power of the people before fusing. Vegito was stronger in base than super saiyan 3 goku, and later on in dragon ball super, he was stronger than their super saiyan blue forms. Same goes with gotenks' base form being stronger than super saiyan goten and trunks

In Japanese, Kakarot is pronounced _kakarotto._ Japan doesn't have many sounds that don't end in vowels, so even foreign words often end up with superfluous nouns on the end, e.g. "pantsu" instead of "pants". So Vegeta + Kakarotto = Vegetto. The English alternative is Vegerot, which almost nobody likes.

And since super saiyan multiplies base power x50, super saiyan 2 is 2x stronger than super saiyan and super saiyan 3 is 4x super saiyan 2, Super Gotenks is strong as Super Buu (tall buu) and Super Saiyan 3 Goku is weaker than Kid Buu (tiny buu)

Buu, like Freeza and Cell, had 4 Forms. Fat/Good Buu, Gray/Evil Buu, Super Buu (Who augmented himself by absorbing people, adding their intelligence, skills, and power level to himself), and finally his original true form 'Kid Buu', which is really just 'Majin Buu'. Who, before Dragon Ball Super, was considered the strongest and most powerful entity to exist in the DBZ universe. The indian Kid who Goku picks up in the short is named Uub, and yes, canonically is the Reincarnation of Kid Buu as a human. After Dragon Ball Super, Uub never existed and retconned out of existence, and Kid Buu was consider so infinately weak in the grand scheme of things, that any fighter from anywhere outside of earth would be able to 1 shot Kid Buu in their sleep.

Oob is mentioned by Dende before the Tournament of Power (he should be around 6 years old by then) and in the manga he appear a couple of times and Great Kai inside Boo's body took over Boo and eventually went to him so he could help during Moro's arc because Oob inherited some of his powers. In short, watch/read DBS before spreding misinformation.
