This show is amazing. The first season can be a bit hard to get into, but the story builds so well as the seasons go on. It is the only cartoon that made me shed a tear. I won't say which episodes, but any fan of the show knows which ones. So glad you are reacting to Futurama!

It's honestly amazing that those emotional episodes even happen and hit so hard from a show that is overall just zany, weird and funny. Similar to Archers mom waiting for him to come out of his coma. Like how dare this crazy funny show hit my feels like that out of nowhere.

A surprise, to be sure...but a welcome one! Fry getting crushed by the doors is such a simple gag, but I laugh at it every fucking time. The final knife stabbing forward and slowly twisting side to side in the suicide booth, XD Fry:"Hey, you're Spock! Hey, do the thing!" Nimoy:"I don't do that anymore." XD Bender:"Can we have some money?" Farnsworth:"Oh my, no..." Episode 2: Leela:"Alright...if everyone's done being stupid...." Fry: I had more! But go ahead." "We're whalers on the moon! We carry a harpoon! But there ain't no whales, so we tell tall tales and sing our whaling tune!" Get ready for a great ride. Futurama can go from hilarious to heartbreaking before you know it, so watch out!

I love Futurama! This show has a special place in my heart. Not only is it amazing, it's also the reason my now-husband and I started dating. He thought I was pretty, but when he found out I quoted Futurama all the time? That's when he fell in love, lol.

Futurama is my favorite animated show! You asked if it was still on the air and surprisingly enough it is, but with the caveat that it has been cancelled and moved networks several times with some breaks in between seasons. There are also a few movies as well. Overall it's a very goofy show but it does have some amazingly heartfelt and sad moments as well.

In this group of animated series I put Futurama, The Simpsons, King of the hill, Family guy, American dad. But Futurama is by far my favorite.

I don't know how many alien languages they created through this show's run, each agonisingly detailed and with their own special rules, but the first (shown in ep. 2) was the one that took the longest for fans to decipher -- taking, I think, about a week. ALL the others were cracked in a day, or just a few hours.

It had to constantly prove its self, coming back after being cancelled, while the Simpsons just went very average. But it blazed a trail for sci-fi anni. Breaking hearts and making us weep. It’s beauty in the last episodes can not be denied and was aloud to finish on its own merit which it had more than earned. A truly beauty series
