A Mexican Standoff is a confrontation where no one can win without also losing, usually used to refer to scenes where a bunch of people on different sides are all pointing guns at each other and if anyone does anything, everyone would die. I think when two gunslingers face off in the middle of the street it's just called a "showdown".

This episode freaked me the fuck out. When the "Billy West" robot that was like Bender was shot to death, I started bawling up a storm like a fucking baby. Even with the new episodes on Hulu, I'm still in a state of panic when a major character is in peril. I've had nightmares as a result of this crap that it's not funny. With that being said, this episode triggered me to have a major fear of the Robot Mafia...

To be fair, Billy West is a 'phony made-up name'. The actor's birth name is William Werstine and I'm pretty sure he just uses 'West' with his SAG credits....
