@JunkyardHounds2 жыл бұрын
@@o-REDBEARD-o Except the game didn't launch incomplete and that's part of it's theme. The whole game features repetition and lack of wholeness on a narrative, thematic and gameplay level. That's no fluke. The game is 100% complete. Also, by logic, when you have no time to complete a game it won't be a polished work. The first thing to do is write the plot and the cutscenes were almost all shown 2 to 3 years before the game came out. How does that feel incomplete to you ? That's one of the sad things about the game, people not being able to see it for what it is but that was, imo, kojima's aim.
@o-REDBEARD-o2 жыл бұрын
@@JunkyardHounds I understand that part of the message 100%. However I personally believe Kojima wasn't allowed to finish it the way he intended. He went over budget and over the alloted time frame. I think the meta narrative of all the things you mentioned came afterwards. I don't think that takes anything away from it I just personally believe it happened in a different order. Again like I stated I am fully aware of all of that.
@JunkyardHounds2 жыл бұрын
@@o-REDBEARD-o I disagree. Watch interviews from 2010/2011 and what Kojima says about his next project. He didn't went over budget nor over the alloted time frame unless you count the development of Fox engine. The fallout was probably due to him making the game the way it's made. Like skullface says "The anti-metal gear metal gear". MGS2 contradicts all of MG1's tropes and V takes it even further.
