Yah agree the history of trunks is in my opinion the best DBZ movie ever made. It's dark and has the best story of all. Shame the creator didn't want to go that dark with the story. I feel that's what this show is missing actually seriousness. It's just a freaking sad shell of it's former self to the point it's seems to be written by family guy's staff.

In the DBS DUB, I love how they brought in the Vegeta Ocean DUB voice to play Purple Vegeta, while Sabbat played the modern Vegeta. They can do that with the two Gohans as well.

The idea of after all that time, falling to "the dark side", and having the man stand in his way being his father is such a great and interesting story idea. Would goku understand? Would he be disappointed? Disgusted in what his son had become? Would their be a debate of ideals, with goku trying to grab his son back out of the abyss? Just so many ways it could go, and dynamics they could play with. I remember in the future of trunks feature, when gohan was protecting trunks, he had an inner monolog about how he wished his father was still here, as he'd know what to do. The idea of facing his father all these years later when he has completely fallen to the despair is just such a great plot for an arc. Imagine goku giving a heart to heart, apologizing for not being there for gohan when he needed him the most. And this could initiate character development where goku understands how important it is for him to be present for his family moving forward.

Seeing gohan like this it's really hit's different, once a cheerful kid like his dad turn out to be this. It's a same vibe where the eldest son in the family has to step-up regarding the situation or age his in after his father's death. They want to rely on someone or something they have in their life but things doesn't seem to be going as they wanted.

Dragonballs are the easiest plot device ever. If you need to make, fix, correct, summon something just use the dragonballs lol. Every villain would have been defeated if they used the Dragonballs, but no that would ruin the whole story. They should have limited the Dragonballs to do only certain things, doing basically everything removed the depth and seriousness of the story. I mean everything can be fixed with dragonballs.

They could have added that this goku lost all his loved ones to a very powerful enemy. In his rage and despair, he gains the rose form and destroys his enemy. However, the dragon balls were destroyed, so goku couldn't wish his friends and family back since he couldn't save his world. He could at least get the other goku to save his. However, to get to the world, he would trick zamasu into helping him an exchange, he would help him gain immortality and destroy humanity. Once goku black gets what he needs, he will kill zamasu. He didn't plan to be in trunks world, but he knows that Trunks has a time machine, so he would cause havoc to make Trunks go into the past and bring goku. His plan was to push good Goku into gaining the rose form so that he could be ready for the new enemy that ruined his life. He would manipulate goku by telling him that he was the one who killed everyone one by one. He would even put it in details so that it would truly anger goku. But instead of the rose form, he would get that from "legend a dragon ball tale." It's not what goku black expected, but it was still good enough and strong enough to beat the new enemy. Good goku would beat goku black to a pulp. Goku black would finally tell goku everything and even confess that he was lying about killing his friends and family. Before dying from his injuries, goku black would tell trunks that there are dragon balls in his world that he had hid from Zamasu, Trunks could use them to get three wishes. Then, finally, goku black dies completing his mission. Goku black's plan was to have good goku be more ruthless so that he could gain the rose form. But in the end, he saw that goku didn't need to do that.

One of my favorite fan-whatif moments was if Gohan suddenly dropped dead in the Tournament of Power. Moments after his death he resurfaced in his Mystic form, unaware of his current surroundings but fully aware and connected to all of 'him' scattered across the timeways. It makes him unruly but completely responsive to Jiren almost exclusively, recognizing him as yet another world-ending threat to prioritize. It was such a unique and cool concept that this segment reminded me of.

Vegeta situation was very different.. At that time vegeta was kid and evil.. He doesn't really care about anyone as it was already showed.. When vegeta, nappa, raditz talking with frieza soldiers after their planet destroy.. Also they all died instant in one moment.. But in case of gohan he was hero, pure heart.. He was son of goku who spend all his life fighting and protecting his loved ones, family, friends and planets and now after goku death it was gohan responsibility to step up .. But he failed.. He was supposed to be hero who will save world but he failed.. Also like in case of vegeta where whole planet die instantly in one moment or one day.. In gohan case all his friends died or killed slowly one by one example piccolo died first then few months later they kill vegeta, year later killer krillin then slow slow by one by one they all get killed and they all depend upon gohan to save them but he fail.. Gohan was suppose to be hero who saves the day and everyone but he couldn't do that vegeta was never in this situation..

Very good. I know its just an anime show but there's a lot of lessons to be learned so I respect that. When we really delve deep into a character like this we can absorb a profound mindset that can grant us wisdom. I can tell you've applied your own wisdom and unified it with future Gohan. It is thought provoking for some. But I would respond to future Gohan and say, to accept reality for what it really is, would be to submit our will to it, to bend the knee. Some might say accepting reality as it is... is a mature thing to do. I agree but, at the same time we are telling reality that we yield, we surrender. Which in turn will give reality the impression that we aren't strong enough to rise above it. I don't believe that refusing to accept reality is a childish thing. There's no pride in that. But I'd expect nothing less from a man who is half human. The only mistake is disrupting the lives of everyone else in the process of making infinite attempts to ensure our survival. So I would conclude to future Gohan that his ideology is a double edged sword. His intentions are pure, but the human side of him, is blinding his sense of pride. Because a Saiyan does not yield to reality. He rises above it, he makes a stand, and he will take an infinite amount of opportunities to ensure his survival but not if he disrupts the lives of others in the process, provided he is pure of heart. Until then, until future Gohan develops that mindset, he will never personify the true meaning of not just a Saiyan, but a Super Saiyan God.

Overuse of the Dragon Balls, which led to the Dark Dragons. Goku killing the Red Ribbon Army, which led to Super 17. The Saiyans killing the entire race of Tuffles, which led to Baby. The entire show is karmic retribution.

I wish Gohan had learned after this, the reality of what training could do for him... and then take every effort to train more than he ever could - finding a Hyperbolic Time Chamber, learning of Yardrat, learning where Namek was to get Porunga or Dende, wishing his arm back, learning of Whis/Beerus, discovering the Z Sword and releasing Old Kai, having his potential unlocked - every single thing he could think of... even learning of Jacko and Zuno to ask him about everything. Only then, does he train like never before and become stronger than Beerus, finding Broly and developing new warriors over time.
