We saw these guys in Salt Lake City, outdoor festival. Within 5 minutes this dude was drenched in sweat. The way he danced, pounded his chest, that deep growl thing....well me and my daughter had a good laugh.. That being said, I was a true fan, by the end of the show.

People who critique this and blow it up with narcissistic rage seem to not grasp the obvious here. It's not about how technical music is, or how well spoken/sung. It's about how it makes you FEEL, you could say dubstep and or trance is garbage because all you hear is a bunch of sounds but to someone else it's much much more and they feel every ounce of it.

As crazy a performance this guy puts on, I can't stop watching or listening to Future Islands. You can't say he doesn't have passion, that's for sure, and the songs are legitimately beautiful songs. I think his metal growls and chicken dances can be a but distracting, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they are a group of damn good musicians. I laughed my way through their Letterman performance months and months ago, but seriously cannot get enough of them now. We'll worth a go!

The Band "Future Islands" formed in Greenville, North Carolina, in 2006, won a surprising popularity, largely by "guilt" of his 4th recent studio-album "Singles" published in March, 2014, but not only. Its uniqueness in this area of music, is also due to how to put into practice their songs, the lyrics, and also the charisma, expressivity and performance live on stage their frontman and lead vocalist Samuel T. Herring, the contrasts, a energy, a rhythmic and danceable sound, with a posture with some sobriety and discretion, the message that their lyrics want convey.
