Kind of, but he’s also clearly someone with some cooking experience. To me it’s more like watching a legit cook make good food without trying too hard or making it look pretty, rather than an amateur showing anyone can do it

@@nefertiti1052 Makes sense. Even tho he never follows the instructions exactly, and often changes ingredients, he still makes something edible in the end. If he was an amateur, that wouldn't happen. I think the biggest things holding him back is his limited kitchen appliances, and also maybe laziness preventing him from going to the store and getting the exact stuff he needs, lol

The Menu's Analysis was beautiful and not AT ALL what I expected from the movie. I was expecting a lab grown Hollywood "get out" flick and instead it was surprisingly heartfelt and had something to say.

I fucking love this guy. The monotone ironic instructions, the "improper" ingredients or tools that still work perfectly. The guy is very obviously a skilled chef, whether he considers himself that or not. Very relatable and I wish him much success.

My favorite trick for cold butter that’s like, impossible to fold because it’s COLD, is to use a cheese grater and just grate the butter you need, it softens it and makes it easier to fold into the dough 🤷🏻‍♀️
