KodackOfficial In the end of the day it doesn't matter if you use presets or engineer sounds by yourself since things will always get easier with time. Sure you can learn all the technical stuff if you want to but how I see it is that you only have one life, so if you want to learn all the technicality then to it for FUN because you actually are interested in learning it and having use of it. It's like getting to another location: sure you can walk there, but why do that when you can ride your bike to get there?

When sharing advice/opinions/ about schools and doing drugs: Turn your advice about schools around, PARENTS HOMESCHOOL you own offspring, cause the government ain+t caring and have clearly said that many times. About drugs? Correct here, stay away. But there is one big problem none of us take into account: TVs - the most popular drugs in every household. Daily watching TV = doing drugs daily. The MK ULTRA MIND CONTROL - search, soul, and start giving out real valuable advice. Stop repeating whatever the TV (most powerful weapon formed against humans minds) spreads. And souls, homeschool your offspring fully out from school programs or the home-schooling of yours and homeschooling at all. And youth, teach yourself, search. Once you received the basic knowledge (writing, reading, doing math) you then can go on on your own. Have hunger for truth/knowledge in you and nothing more is needed, for the tools computer and internet and books is available and in daily use any way. Evolution of Television 1920-2020 (updated) - the greatest weapon ever created. And as we promo the A. I and all the ways it can be used, we promo deceiving others and being deceived.

Most people hate him because he puts "little effort" into his songs. And yet you praise the people who have there music ghost produced who don't even work at all on there music. Martin garrix has been making music for years that's why he doesn't have to put work into it, because he has systems that make things faster for him. Yes he uses samples but that's what they are for. People upload samples so other people can use them in songs. They aren't uploaded so nobody uses them. His music sounds good IN MY OPINION don't freak out. You all hate him and haven't gotten famous or recognition for your "original music" and most of you don't even make music who say he doesn't work so how would you know? Sorry for sounding like a brat, and normally I wouldn't comment but I just wanted to say something that might changes peoples minds. Now I understand why it is so hard to me, to make a good eletronic song. It's because I am trying to create one, from scretch, composing Melodies on guitar, trying to sound new, not using ctrl+c ctrl+v method.
@vanlitespeed93259 жыл бұрын
yes you can make songs from scratch but why reinvent the wheel? the sounds are already there the electronic tools are there to manipulate any sound on this earth into something different. i think morphing and mixing samples is incredible, allows for quick creativity providing creativity to flow more freely. if its takes days to create a good part on a guitar what can take an hour using samples, think of how much actual creativity time you just lost messing around on the guitar. and another thing no person on this earth can play exactly in time as a computer i think the incredible accuracy and repeatability makes electronic created music so appealing to both creators and listeners.

After 5-6 years of music production i learned one important thing... nobody cares if you are original or not. Its all about talent, and a producer with little knowledge of a program and lots of talent can make a platinum selling record, while a person with less talent or luck but with more knowledge can go on for a lifetime, never receiving the recognition he deserves. What Garrix explains in this video doesnt impress me in ways of program knowledge at all, but his talent and creativity with what he knows weighs up for it.

There is quite a bit of hate going on here. And I say that even as someone who isn't really a fan of Garrix, or Animals for that matter. As a guy who recently started making music, (Like about 5 or 6 months ago literally) I still use presets (yes yes, let the hate flow through you...) but I try to change them up and make them unique as much as I can, while still giving the song the right sound I'm looking for. I would LOVE to be able to make my own sounds in the future. I feel like producing could be tons easier if I knew A) What sound I was going for and B) What I need to do to get to that sound. I'm working step-by-step with each track, and I feel like I learn something new every time. That to me is a really cool thing. That said, I think Garrix here is getting a little too much hate. I mean, I do think at some point an electronic musician should at least try to make their own sounds, but you can't just dive in headfirst and expect everything to just fall into place. Obviously the guy has some knowledge of how to get the sounds he's looking for, since he put on a lot of effects and filters on each of the tracks he showed us. So I say give him some time. Perhaps he is still learning new things with the tracks he creates.
