We finally worked out a sourcing deal with the very popular Korean Modori brand (took over a year!). They've authorized us to ship out to US + Europe & other countries... If you're interested, you can find it now on Gochujar 🙃: gochujar.com/products/modori-korean-sodam-cookware-set

I really love that you try out different versions of dishes that you've already cooked! A lot of KZbin chefs fall into "my way is the only way", but this isn't realistic for a home cook-- we're going to try all kinds of ways!
@FutureNeighbor3 жыл бұрын
Amen to that! We do enjoy trying out different recipes from both YT creators, food bloggers and chefs - after a while, you get to see that person's approach (or style) to cooking . If a dish is considerably better, I like to share it with our neighbors... win-win for all! 😛

Absolutely gorgeous recipe! This modori cookware is so beautifully designed. I'm used to clamp-on cookware all the way from the early 90s - a lot of compact cookware ranges such as Trangia use it. It's wonderfully modular, and I really think it's something that's past time to get popular in more countries, especially how cramped our living spaces tend to be.

For the ready sauce i guess u can add a pinch of salt, ginger and reduce the amount poured to half ..add soy sauce and water..! Note:The sauce was sweet becuz it is mostly used with pickled and fermented squid..where this wud balance the soreness...!❤

Omgg I love modori homeware and would love to get my hands on them. However, being based in France I'm wondering if they're going to survive the trans Atlantic shipping in the US and in France. Then, will there be extra duties? Is gochujar international the same as the US site? Thank you in advance for your response and it's always a pleasure to watch your videos.
@FutureNeighbor3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, for France, please shop from Gochujar Global. These Modori products are shipped 1st Class - so it should arrive quicker with signature delivery. As for the duties, we ship in a strategic way to minimize that.

Random question, why is it called bibimbosou and not bibimyeon?
@FutureNeighbor3 жыл бұрын
You can use either one! They both refer to the same dish. However, 비빔국수 (bibim-guksu) & 비빔면 (bibim-myeon) usually means the spicy one. If you append the word Soy Sauce (간장) to either, it refers to this dish we made today ;-)

I had to subscribe cause stupid KZbin kept trying to replace you two with Aaron & Claire, can't help looking at the algorithm with suspicion. What's the deal.
@FutureNeighbor3 жыл бұрын
We've received quite a lot of similar feedback about this from viewers... not sure, maybe YT algorithm thinks they're us?
@leonardpearlman40173 жыл бұрын
Well, it's not so bad! There's some overlap... Aaron is very charming and the channel has a lot of bounce. I think he's keeping it simpler and is a little comical. Definite pop approach, seems to be directed to people who dread cooking but have to for some reason. This channel seems more directed to people who actually like to cook. I'm very grateful for all of this KZbin action, Korean food used to seem very obscure and mysterious, there weren't many Korean cookbooks or restaurants. It's so exciting to know that there are some things you can really do at home! Locally the ingredients are very easy to find. I also like "Anyone Can Make" which has the simplest possible recipes (like you can make a nice lunch if you have an onion, basically), and "Paik's Cuisine" (which might have something to do with a SACK of onions, and generally a more restaurant/chef approach.
@neilusher33683 жыл бұрын
@@leonardpearlman4017 I like Aaron & Claire as well but as kpop fans like to say, Future Neighbor is my "bias". They were here on YT before Aaron & Claire, I've been watching them for a long time but I keep getting recommended Aaron & Claire on my homepage; and, I feel like that's unfair subscriber advantage to them. Not that this is some sort of huge drama, it's just kind of patronizing. And hitting "don't recommend this channel" on Aaron & Claire for me seems kind of rude lol.

I don't enjoy cold noodles, but I love hot noodles with cold or room temperature sauce poured over them last minute. I do it with both soy sauce and Hunt's tomato sauce straight out of the can (always with red pepper flakes), so I think I might try my own version of this, but warmish and spicy. I just love the mix of hot and cold

@@FutureNeighbor lol very lazy "spaghetti." It's technically angel hair, but w/e. And to clarify I use either hot sauce or tomato sauce. Both sounds either bizarre or amazing lol. I always hear people gush about how good cold noodles are but I just don't like the texture 🤷♀️
