I like this new format you are using, very much encourages the grab a beer and hangout type of viewing. Good info too. If those gnats are doing bad by you, you should come up to Ontario during the summer and give our black flies a try. We have drop dead beautiful land out here, but the Spring and Fall is the best time to be outside otherwise you get eaten alive... but then again its too nice out so you grin and bear it.

Thank you, Saer! We're having a lot of fun with it, and beyond glad you enjoyed it. The gnats weren't bad unless I just want to stand still. Lol. But yeah, black flies, and mosquitos suck too.

Really interesting, I was under the impression that fuzz sticks were much finer scrapings using the back of your spine or a draw knife to get a pile similar to what you do with fatwood. And that feather sticks was the process of curling the wood into thin feathers to let it burn easier. Either way it's all fun to talk about and isn't important huh haha. Like Bushcraft and Woodcraft lol, who cares just go play in the woods! Great video man!

+The Bearded Burton yeah. Everything is relative, I suppose. Lol. Glad you like the video. Thanks for watching.

Ellsworth Jaeger included an illustration entitled "fuzz stick" in his 1945 book Wildwood Wisdom, which appears to agree with your presentation. He does not mention or illustrate feather sticks.

#Feathersticks4Life I'm looking that boy scout book up!! (Although I 85% believe ya) Also, the TN/VA sure do have pretty woods. Really different than OR. I feel like I've said that before. I'm not jealous of y'all's gnats though. We have mosquitos pretty bad here. I use Off all of the bloody time. FYI: if you use Off, don't get it on your toenail polish, it's a solvent and messes them up :( So, what were ya gonna tell us at the end of the video?

+Captain Airyca good luck with the scout handbook. I didn't see it online. It was the actual book. Lol. Our woods aren't bad, though I'm die in for a change of scenery. Oh, and I was going to talk about the grill, but decided to leave that to question. lol. Gnats suck. I don't care where.

I work at a university. I've already requested the book to be delivered to my library. :D And yeah, that little grill is sweet. I think your instagram explains that haha!

+Captain Airyca hahaha you really want to see that for yourself, huh? There's a lot of info about that grill that most people don't know. If you don't have one, you'd better get one quick 😉

I like to check the facts lol! Also, I've got a small gas grill with a cast iron grate, but I don't have the $$ to get another grill right now. My wish list is wayyyy to long already.

+Captain Airyca I hear ya. These grills are now discontinued. Might want to move it up the list a few.
