Final Fantasy 12 was first released way back in 2006 on the PS2. At the time, it was considered somewhat controversial by many Final Fantasy fans due to its departure from traditional FF gameplay. However, it is now looked back on fondly and many would consider Final Fantasy XII to be the best entry in the franchise. In 2007 the International Zodiac edition was released (in Japan only), and this version of the game included a more traditional job-based system and a new battle areana. For this remastered release, these additional changes are being brought to us fans in the West for the first time ever - along with high resolution textures and remastered soundtrack!

Great walkthrough! And at level 58, Exodus was a pushover - He killed my white mage and without items I couldn't revive him so I switched to another to finish him off :-D I just had no idea what steps to take to find him - Thank you Sooooo Much!!!

In original FFXII I used quickenings at the start of the fight as it was tied to MP And that was the only time the whole party was at full MP. Now with mist charge being completely selarate in Zodiac Age it makes more sense to hold-off. I usually use quickening chains to finish off bosses insread. Like for Zodiark I completely cheesed his full immunity by just quickening killing him at 30% of his HP

To those who do not know the game if one wanted can completely break the game at this point even dome time before. Elvoret in the necrohol drops maximilion armour undead horse drop defender the francisca is dropped from fire wolf's in the feywood . there is also a path in feywood the leads to a dead end in henne mines can farm demon shields from the bats. As for helms not 100% necessary since by the time any truly powerful magic users won't pop up until you start laying down espers. Oh yeah and the bekamy in the deadlines drop diamond armor which in turn will help get max I know I missed a bunch but only have so much space to type.

I went exploring in the Necrohol of Nabudis using Haste+Berserked melees and a Black Mage in order to pick up Bravery and Faith. One of the enemies dropped a Maximillian along the way, and I got a set of Black Robes and a White Mask from a chest. Then went to Lhusu Mines after picking up the Site 11 key (before the Gilgamesh hunt becomes available) and picked up Scathe, Dragon Whisker, Whale Whisker and Masamune along with a set of Glimmering Robes, a Magepower Shishak, and a second Maximillian. At this point everything just melts, including Exodus who died in like 10-15 seconds...

The "event" to unlock Exodus is getting to the Pho coast - Because the moogles fixing the gate from the Salikawood to the Pho coast are able to get to the Mosphoran Highwaste to work on those lift things. It's crazy though to try to get Exodus before level 40 though. I've tried at high 30s level and get my ass handed to me usually because of Scathe and Flare.

I'm confused how you managed to hit him through 'immune', so I used Belias instead.... until it died. After that, I was able to hit Exodus. But I followed everything else you did.

I see, so you would have picked that same for your character and so on. :) Well Fuzz I think you need to cover a video. :) Myself I've only pick one Espers only because I needed it to open a door. I have the others six sitting on their boards as I'm not sure yet who should have them? I don't want my characters being unlocked from other skills they may really need. So my thinking is try and get them all then worry about it. However I'd pick my first jobs before coming across the videos, so my set-up is no way the same as fuzz. Hopefully Fuzz will message here and help!

@@mrsniffles2348 It's not a money issue. FF12 was only expensive because of its troubled development. They reused AI assets from Final Fantasy 4, of all things, and that's where gambits are from. They even artificially extended the game. It's more about the lack of risk companies are willing to take. As a result, they don't innovate or strive to create something new. FF12 wasn't that long ago all things considered. Only 3 mainline FF titles came out after 12, one of which is an MMO of great quality that is so good, it sold out digitally. Square does take risks is the thing. It pays off, but they take risks. But they're not going to make FF16 and base it off 12 just cuz. You want another FF12? You need a company that hasn't made it recently enough to be willing to take a risk. Not to mention FF12 came out in the PS2 Era, where players were asked to make mental note of things and actually read dialogue, which I am not expecting anyone to do with my analysis here. You'll have better luck asking an Indie Dev to make something like this.

You know the cab you can ride in Archades? When you first arrive there in the main storyline, the guy who operates it asks for 3 pinewood chops, which of course one does not have at first, so he says something like "Then pay up, 1 million gil, thank you.". I thought that was just there because they were implying that as an impossibility, like 999,999 gil would be the maximum amount of gil possible in this game. I don't remember where i've heard that, but either it wasn't a credible sourse, or 999,999 maximum gil was only present in the original FF12, on the ps2. I'm not sure which one, but wow i'm surprised!

You need to find all the moogles in The Salikawood so they can open the gate to Phon Coast. After that you can go back to Mosphoran Highwaste and the shrines will be working.
