A work of art, and much better than the run-of-the-mill mass-produced Chinese shells you see at public firework events.

Wow, the amount of spiking that goes into this is nuts.
@nedgorski Жыл бұрын
Yep, that's Maltese-style spiking, and really gives the shell it's strong confinement, for good shell bursts.

Beautiful rocket, Ned. I'd love to come to one of your shows sometime. That little stick buster salute went off a lot boomier than it looked like it would, from the picture.
@nedgorski Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Bellow. The new Sony VZ1 camera I'm using captures sound really well. That little salute did really boom in the vid.

Technical question: was that flash powder in the middle of the BP break charge? I've had bad results trying flash powder, and it blowing the heading without lighting the stars.
@nedgorski Жыл бұрын
That's a nitrate based slow flash booster, not hot flash powder.@@bellowphone

What ignited the comet?
@peytonpimp915 күн бұрын
I paused it when you showed the assembled rocket and see I believe a fuse going up to it what is in the paper point. then I see your other fuse running to the stick breaker I believe. Is that coming straight out of the header to get fire?
@nedgorski14 күн бұрын
In the photos, you can see the initial quickmatch fuse going in to the comet at the top of the rocket, and a quickmatch passfire going down to the motor bottom from the comet. So the comet gets lit first on ignition.

Hi Ned 😊 Man can we come and watch your displays sometime? I’m currently in my own process of studying fireworks. For educational purposes only. 😊

I'm in my 70's now, Cody, and winding down, making some simple devices now and then for my enjoyment, and for educational purposes in the website. As a matter of fact, I'm headed into open heart surgery in a couple days, so will be really taking it easy for awhile. Enjoy your pyro ride, and stay safe.
@codyiteska5 ай бұрын
@@nedgorski okay. Ned I will be praying on the surgery for quick recovery. I enjoy your videos a lot. I’ve learned so much. Thank you. And I will enjoy this pyro journey
