I like Super7 but the constant price increasing and the lack of evolution on qc issues is slowly pushing me away. A few years ago I was a faithful fan but when stuff like jiggly arms/legs. articulations with minimal or outright null range, paint chiping, plastic snapping, and more and more expensive every wave even for characters that are smaller like Snarf, all that starts to pile on ... and what I once was the desire to get more characters and lines, now is turning to "ok this is the last one I get from this line" and never even bothering to begin with newer ones I really like the properties but it's just isnt't worth the price and the headaches.

Interesting interview. Looking forward to the Thundertank when it finally arrives. My favorite Ultimates figure this year was Thundercats Mumm-Ra the Ever Living, excellent job on that figure and the definitive Mumm-Ra. The Ghost of Starscream is also a favorite from this year.

Agreed, I have both of these and would say they turned out great. Optimus is also top drawer., and I reckon Mirror Lion-O will be too when it arrives in the next few days!

I think we are all very thankful super7 takes on these projects but price can be an issue. I personally would like to see how much cost can be eliminated by offering figures with less accessories, mine all end up stored away and not adding value.

Accessories don't impact the price of the figure as much as you might think. They would probably save you a buck.

I always appreciate Brian's honesty and breakdown of the business. Super 7 is my main line outside of MOTU Origins so I am glad to hear many of the lines are coming out so soon, but I am fine with delays as I know the world is a crazy place right now.

@@funtoysfan Well, plot twist, I just opened my Wave 5 & 6 of TMNT and they are horrible lol. Issues with almost every figure and I've had to refund both waves. This then sent me down a dark few days of looking over my other Super 7 figures then comparing them to a friend's Hasbro lines and NECA. My final thought, do not buy Super 7 figures without seeing full reviews. I am utterly gutted at how badly these last waves of TMNT were. They look great in the box, but once you get them out you realize how badly they've messed up. I've canceled all my preorders and sold off my Super 7 TMNT and bought a bunch of NECA TMNT, which are vastly superior. I only wish I had known earlier. Same with their Transformers, my Optimus cannot even move his arm to a 90-degree angle, it's honestly less than 45 degrees, but then I saw that their version 2 has great arm articulation!!! I am super upset and wish I had opened my figures sooners. So, yes I am going to have to agree with you, their final products seem to be very terrible versus their 3d models. I'd delete my first comment, but I want people to see this update.

Veebs, I think we're going to need to start pressing Brian about plastic versions of the man, the myth, the legend: Glenn Danzig! I think he dropped hints in one of these 2 years ago? Then add to it Glenn saying something was in the works earlier this year and I've got my mind racing over here on what's happening. Great convo with Brian, as always.

I don’t understand why Super7 doesn’t give us updates like this on their own social channels. One of the things that keeps people from buying their Ultimates is it takes so long to deliver them. That’s understandable, but giving regular progress updates would help mitigate that. I would love to see updated product photos as they become available on Super7’s instagram, but instead we can only see updates in unclear videos on someone else’s KZbin channel 🤦‍♂️

Great Interview! Really turned to legendary status at the end, but so informative and definitely worth sharing with others to understand 2022 on multiple levels. On a fun note, I just ordered Dr. Bowman from 2001 and super excited to end my year on that note! Also looking forward to Bruce Lee Ultimate next year!

Your overuse of the Starscream mold for the Ultimates Transformers line makes me believe that line is dead. Started with 4 figures per line, then down to 3, now 2. RIP I think.

Reuse shouldn't be seen as a sign a line is dying. Some reuse is important to a line's long term success. S7 is wise to do some reuse waves cause they can crank em out quicker and get things more up to speed

@@teeveeparty Reuse is a given but when reuse Star Scream Mold 3 times in 4 waves is troubling Not like couldnt do Thundercracker, Skywarp, Rainmakers, Sunstorm, on that same mold but this many StarScreams just screams dont have the vision to build out the line.

I realize that this interview is geared towards the Thunder Cats, but do you think you ask about the New Japan Pro Wrestling figures? We got 2 waves, a rumor of Jay White being in the 3rd wave , and then nothing for the last 2 years. I was really looking forward to this line continuing since there are still members of LIJ and Chaos missing just to complete the teams. And since he releases waves in groups of 4, the next wave should be to complete the 2 groups already made the get up the Bullet Club. Otherwise, great interview.

Was interested in GI Joe Ultimate Line but the delays have me rethinking just skipping. If I had confidence that line would grow then sure would be on board but at this rate will never see characters like Bazooka, Alpine, Wildbill, Leatherneck, Spirit, Dreadnoks.

Vee you know there are major issues with the Super7 Ultimates line. Please address the elephant in the room, quality problems, price point, aftermarket value plummeting. Super7 needs to take a lesson from Four Horsemen Studios -> Price right, hold retailers to a set MSRP, limit production to keep aftermarket value high.

Is Super7 ever planning to release the gi joe ultimate's???? I made a pre-order in oct 2021 and I am still waiting and none of these guys are responding to emails, Instagram, FB, twitter... Nothing.... They are so happy to take the money but when it comes to delivering the goods , Its like lets screw the customers... The Fwoosh should be asking this question to Brain the next time he comes for a new product less update interview...

about painting of silverhawks, they say they did it that way to look more like the animation. why didn't they follow the same idea with destro ultimates? Destro ultimates they painted metallic, not this weird "animation based" paint. And In the animation, the Metallic of Destro Head is Very flat. In the end, the silverhawks don't even look like the animation. it's up to you to make the comparison. you can see that in the animation they are made of metal, texture and metallic shines (I'm not saying chrome like in the vintage figures). and in the figures, at least in the photos and videos, the texture doesn't look like metal to me. they have already done metallic paint on various figures that would look perfect on the silverhawks. You can see many accessories with this type of Metallic painting that can fit VERY well on silverhawks figures. so why is that? I have the impression that they just got the paint job wrong, and it would be too expensive to fix, so they just made up that excuse. I hope I'm wrong, but I have this feeling. i love super7 but they are disappointing a lot.

Because S7 wants to get maximum use of the molds. They're making the animation version and then later down the road they'll come out with the toy version ! If they came out first with the toy version, barely anyone would want the animation version because it wouldn't have metallic/shiny paint.

As toy collectors I thought you would be friendly, open and inclusive but instead you are discriminatory and selfish! With zero disregard and flexibility for someone like myself.
