@Sub12 Airgunners great video. I just watched the hammer polish video and was wondering how the hammer doesn’t wobble after removing the material. Is the hole for the hammer smaller near the valve? Thanks
@sub12airgunners3 жыл бұрын
I talked a little about this issue in the video I am making at the moment, it would wobble technically, but the hammer spring is inside the hammer and the anchor point of the spring is up the front of the hammer so the rear of the hammer is being pulled forward, so it straightens itself up as it travels the bore. Also my standard hammer was not a tight fit in the action, it had a fair bit of rattle room around it. I think the main reason FX shaped the hammer the way they did is to give some protection with the FAC set up, if you fire the rifle with the bolt open with the FAC set up, the hammer on this rifle would have a big dent in it. Thanks for your question and thanks for watching.

Is it an FAC? The FAC rifles should have a one piece seat installed in the back, but the Sub 12 rifles typically (not always) have the separate seats. Thanks for watching.

Terrific instructional videos and a great communicator. Must see for anyone wanting to work on their FXs. My Crown can only manage 7ft/ilbs so clearly requires surgery. The piston removal tool looks like an essential tool. Is this a bespoke made item or something I can buy in the market?
