The reason why your getting that big of groups at 100yds is because when you tune the gun and it caps off at 930 like you said at that set reg pressure then what you want to do is turn the micro hammer adjuster down till your velocity is about 15 to 20 fps slower than your max fps at that set reg pressure which in your case with your max being 930 fps you would want it at 910-915 fps what this does is let the air cut out just before the pellet exits the barrel so that when the pellet exits the barrel air doesnt come around the pellet as it exits and destabalize it therefore causing bad accuracy and it will also be more efficient also were you'll get your best accuracy is when you tune the gun to were your gun shoots pellets the best (with jsb pellets typically 870 to 900 fps) tune it with your macro pwr wheel set to max and adjust the reg pressure and micro hammer adjuster to say max 900 than slowly turn down your micro hammer adjuster to about 880-885fps and this will give you much better accuracy and be more stable in the wind

Also your first reg needs to within 25 to 50 psi of the second reg

I just got a 700mm .357 MKIII and a 500mm .22 on it. 100 yards 25 grain .2175” 5 under my thumb easily. It’s zipping them at 900 I got it from a buddy who’s been so awesome in my airgun experience. Regs came 150 & 130 but I have seen it creep to 170 and 150 now so I might bypass first but 500mm barrel probably won’t clear. I don’t really need it set so high. I have seen it send 81’s at 840 but I think I like it just fine with 77grain Hades at 765. I tried the 68 grain FX Hybrids but they were hitting way to the right. Took main chamber off the Yokozuna and they pulled over again. I don’t really like dealing with the switching up so I’m just gonna get it set up optimally for the .22’s and hopefully 4-6 mags 72,90,108 shots smallest spread.

Get a Saber Tactical TRS rail for that gun and use the barrel clamp that comes in it when you have the standard FX shroud like you do here.. You can thank me later. POI will remain consistent and my groups tightened up even more due to the added rigidity of the barrel system.

Thank you later, 😂😂 if the Impact needs that to make it shoot straight, why isn’t it fitted standard.
@404nitro Жыл бұрын
@@Letskeepthingsreal Because they can make a lot more off selling things separately. That's simply business 101. It doesn't make it shoot straight, it makes it extremely stable if you bang the barrel against something. It's a free floated barrel. Trust me, the FX rifles shoot unbelievably well.

@@404nitro if they had better competition they wouldnt be able to do that. Theyre high end 2k plus dollar guns, you should be able to retain a zero on it without dumping an extra 1k on aftermarket parts. Honestly the quality of air rifles is depressing for how expensive they are/ how much better they could be with a tiny bit of effort from the manufacturer. You basically have to rezero the impact everytime you move it

The old rule of thumb of mid 800's for pellets is no longer true, or at least not a very firm rule. My FX guns shoot pellets at 940-970 fps with lazer accuracy at 75 yards. Ernest Rowe has videos of him shooting pellets at 1000 + fps with outstanding accuracy. You play with that front hammer valve to tighten your groups and fps consistency once you have the gun shooting about how you want it to for speed. Unless something has recently changed with FX, you can go up or down wit the regs without damaging them, though when reducing them you shouldn't go more than a quarter turn without dry firing the pressure off.

You don’t want to tune the gun for max output if you plan to shoot 81 gr pellets 870-880. Yes you can use the power wheel to turn down the power. However, when you do that the low hammer spring tension relative to the high pressure on the valve is going to really open up your extreme spread on velocity. The reg pressure should match the hammer spring pressure giving the desired velocity for optimum performance.

Is 700 mm.? Or 800 mm.?

I was looking at the spec sheet for the FX impact 30 caliber and it says you get about 105 shots and the FPE is around 124 calculated by using slugs. I have the slug liner and the slug power kit but I haven't tested out the gun yet. The question I have is the 105 shots stated by FX is related to shooting slugs or pellets? 105 shots using slugs as quite impressive if it's correct?

Is it normal for my .35 fx to rise 8 to 10 inches at 25 yard plus on target?

Really like your video's. You're honest and thats what i like. I am looking for the best break-barrel pigeon/squirrel gun for $200. Reliable where the seals don't wear out. I own airforce condor, benjamin marauder, Taipan long, AGT Uragan, crosman 1322, but no break barrel yet. Any thoughts? Thank you.

You should really get a good R1 or HW if you want a great break barrel

I got this gun and did myself a huge favor. I got a TJ barrel for it. The factory barrel sucks. It causes horrible shifts in POI. In addition, I found it to be underpowered for a claimed hunting rifle at any tune. In conclusion, if FX can not make a better barrel for its customers, then outsource to TJ or Lothar Walther so that customers can experience real and predictable accuracy.
