I love it when things like this happen! Thanks for doing this one guys. You've gotten me though some rough times and you come full circle to complete this retro game nostalgia dream of mine so often. You ROCK SO MUCH!!! I met these cool devs over the last few years as convention booth buddies and they are very deserving cool doods!!! @@The_RadicalOne we tried to do what wencoukd to make it feel retro. This is the very first game I produced and I still have a lot to learn. We were a small team but I think we managed to do something bpretty good even if it doesn't compare to old pce games with staff of 40+ ppl. (There were 4 of us, all with day jobs and families) do it was hard. I'm so happy you love it though, Reggie!!

For a home brew it is an excellent game addition to the PCE. I am however jelous that you guys got a high score screen. I was at a point where I could beat this game losing life's only after stage 4. And I never saw a high score screen. There is a supposed secret level in this game. A few of us tried to find it but no luck from what I gather.

Not that I'm totally sure without looking it up, but the 'killer bees' were a product of bees from Africa with the bees we have here so that they were bigger and could therefore end up producing more honey. However, they were very aggressive compared to the bees were using. But the only real problem was the queen bees, if replaced with African queen bee with a more domesticated one, the swarms became more docile. As to the bee attacks, that was due to the original hive becoming too crowded so the original queen would lay new eggs, which the larvae would be fed royal jelly to become the new queen of the original hive while the old queen along with half the hive would leave to form a new colony somewhere else they find hospitable.

Yup. Even better though; they came to this hemisphere from South America where some guy had imported them, whereupon they escaped and crossbred with local bees. So their "Mexican" Killer Bee really have nothing to do with Mexico instead being African Bee's hybridized with domestic South American species. Called Mexican by Americans. Go figure.

It's not Mexican killer bees it's Africanized killer bees and they're still around. They may actually replace European bees as they are more resilient to sudden hive collapse.
