Season 2 of Pose flashes forward in time to 1990. On the heels of the ballroom community establishing itself in pop culture and going mainstream, the House of Evangelista is forced to reevaluate their goals. Meanwhile, the AIDS crisis worsens and the reaction from a group of activists reaches a fever pitch. Pose features the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles.

I lost my beloved cousin Tony in 1994 and soon after my cousin Cheryl was diagnosed with HIV. She's still alive. Praise God! Until there is a cure.

I feel the spirit of my loved ones....Before the crisis,1982, when it was called GRID (Gay related immune deficency), during, and now....it's quite a story and journey..so happy Pose is telling the story.....

I'm so glad you did! I recently was COVID positive and there's a lot of fear and shame if you get the virus. I still have no idea who or where I got it from. I am very lucky that I got tested and caught it on time so I couldn't spread it to others. And also, there's the emotional baggage after being in isolation for so long. To know you were locked up for almost 3 weeks and to go back into the world after getting better from the one thing people have tried to avoid for months, it's confusing. It's very scary, it's hurtful, and it's sad. I binged this entire show while I was sick.

I get tested every 2 months and to see that representation on the show still makes me realize how many people died so people like me could live. The next day after the last episode I looked at my medication it made me remember how many people died so I could live.

I really have a huge respect to the older generation of LGBTQ community especially the trans community of color. If it weren't for them, we are not as free as we are today. And as one of the younger generations, we'll continue the fight. In my head I feel that I won't be able to survive the 80s if I ever was a teenager or in my 20s at that time. :/

I love getting. Tested for everything IDK why people are afraid to be tested for HIV, other sexual infections and stuff like that. It just shows that you care for yourself and not just ladies getting birth control in us .

It's because of the stigma and they're not sure how they would be able to cope with life if they were positive. Alot of people actually don't get tested because they rather not know and live life normally. So it does take alot of non-judgement and support to convince someone to get tested.

those years during the high of it all before the meds ..we lost so so many ....those of us who are still here ....we are ragged round the edges .........but were here ...and god bless ..I love you to all who arent.
