Finally 😜 I had a feeling that the M4 was on the way, so very exciting to see see it. First thought was that there has not been landslide upgrades. But after watching your presentation there are a number of changes that makes this an overall better gun. Without discussing them all the improved top rail and the new trigger are the most welcome🤗 Yes the top rail has been available from others for a long time, but it is nice to have it as standard now. My concern is the cancellation of the 1st reg. On calibers bigger than 177 and gun shooting with high reg preasures it probably makes sense, but for a 177 shooting with 100-120 bar on the reg I have my concerns. On my MKII there was some inconsistancy from 250 - 225 bar. After this is was great. BUT that was with the old plastic reg piston. If the AMP II can handle it better, I guess we will know very soon 😊 I am still a fan of the 1st reg 😎 Havent made up my mind wether to get it or not, but history tells me that I will 😂 Thank you for a super presentation buddy 🤗

Hello, happy to see you again after a long time my friend. The DRS pro is over delay in every shop on line, this new M4 came because a lot of new brands seems to stoll some parts of your market, and FX needs money with all this trouble with is US agency. So after that, all of us waiting for a new Impact but not like that. We are waiting for a kind of Panthera in Bullpup. A plenum of 150cc arround the barrel, In this M4, no more power, no slug liner, no carbon sleeve or a real new barrel ... Just the corrections of some mistakes or new evolution needed (end of the reg 1, new magazine,) For the trigger, the one on the M3 was really good, no need to improve it. So, thanks again for your really good présentation of this M4. Hope to see you with some shot with this "old-new" pcp 😉 Bye my friend and see you soon with another new FX.

I applaud FX for continuing to refine and make the existing Impact platform better. Even if these improvements are not earth shattering it still means if this will be your first Impact it will be a little better than the previous M3. It is hard to do significant changes and still have the accessories compatible across all Impact platforms.

The worst problem of all FX rifles was not fixed, we all know that any touch on the FX barrels soon loses the point of impact and it's a shame not to have a solid barrel even if it has a liner but it wasn't a flexible barrel lol. This is simply a shame

the carbon fiber barrel upgrade is well worth it, fixing poi shifts that would happen between the gun case and the bench. No matter what you do to an Impact , it will never be a "throw it in the back of the truck" kinda gun. Also IMO not great for woods stocking, it shines on the bench or tripod.

I bought the M4 and, so far, very pleased with the new features. One exception! My Saber Tactical cheek riser no longer fits. As you’ve increased the slot to permit better access to the probe, the 3 diagonal slots below it are now shorter and preclude the insertion of ST’s machined part to connect the cheek riser platform. I emailed ST who say they’re NOT planning on making a revised part - that’s absolutely appalling customer service. They’ve taken our money and now, have no plans to allow their customers to continue using this (very expensive) piece of kit. Have a word!

Thank you for your excellent review on the new M4. However, seeing there's nothing revolutionary in terms of upgraded performance expectations and or reliability, I will happily stay with my M3. (It's ugly enough) Also, it's devastatingly accurate and has not given me a moment's trouble in well over 3 year's regular use.

Personally I think it would have made more sense to keep the 2 regulators like the mk3, I've got a mk2 (sub 12) with the new upgraded brass piston, and I've fitted a huma second regulator to it and works great, that's my opinion 👍

Love the bolt retainer - excellent idea. PLEASE don’t lock every bolt up with red locktight so we can’t undo them. Blue locktight is more than adequate for most of the bolts you’re trying to secure. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh. Shame you stuck with the drinking straw barrel system and, looking at the video, I’m guessing the changes to the pellet magazines are cosmetic rather than functional but, hope I’m wrong.

I have two m3 a compact and a sniper I don't see my self spending any money on the m4 As most impact owners know to make it accurate you need to spend a lot more money on better hammer better block better liner for slugs and to stop the liner vibrations you need a tensioner or a sleeve Always more and more Why was not accurate from the start I know is about money By the way thanks for the video mr You put out good info Even i am not impressed with the m4 Nothing against you is just my opinion about fx and the fx impact

1:04 Honestly the m3 with two regs are really meant for sub 12 fpe guns imo because i have my first reg at 210 bar and my second at 170 bar what happens in my case i see the two regs fighting each other when you have it at 150 and 100 thats why the first reg goes up and down until you shoot it a few times thats what mine does so that why its so high on my gun so now the did away with it now i know why but i really like my fx m3 22 cal its a beast for long range shooting for a pellet gun ....where's Ernest Rowe 🤔

Estuve a punto de comprar el M3, pero salió el dynamic y el panthera y eso me hizo pensar que probablemente el M3 saliera con esas mejoras y decidí esperar por el próximo impact,luego sacaron el king,eso me decía que esperase un poco mas,ahora sale el M4 y vaya desilusión, no es para nada lo que esperaba y ya descarto por completo cualquier impact.La fabrica FX está muy adelantada, seguro que ya por ahi en algun cajon tienen listo para comercializar el impact M48,pero van metiendo todos los años algún cambio y hasta que salga el 48 venderán muchas armas,claro que cuando salga el 48 ya tendrán listo el M93 y si alguna marca de armas se le acerca sacaran el M48,50 o 70 y volverán a dejar a la competencia atrás.Muy buena estrategia de ventas,eso no cabe dudas.

My New M3 1st reg is leaking and was thinking of using the Regulator Bypass by Saber. will there be an issue with the M3 AMP or should I upgrade to the M4 AMP reg? I'm shooting 93 grain slugs.

There is no harm in deleting the first reg on the M3 specially not at higher regulator powers . But you could think about upgrading the regulator yes to get better consistency and efficiency

How can I test the max. energy of my M4 Extended 800mm .22 version ?? Now I'm shooting at 145Bar 4 rings 16 5 and the SLugs Port with H&N 38gr Slugs my max speed is only 776 ft/s or 237 m/s That about 68.5 Joule instead of the expected 117 Joules. Whats wrong ??

You are simply overpowering the valve . Smacking it to hard with to much hammerspring tension. Resulting in the valve bouncing to the back and jumping back closing to early as there isn’t enough regulator pressure behind it . You need to raise that regulator to balance that out

FX don't fix their designs with new Mks, they strategically change just enough to sell new guns, leave space for their aftermarket partners, and keep as many of the real fixes in reserve for the next Mk... or the one after... etc. Completely unf---ing the Impact at a single stroke would be commercially illiterate, and they are anything but that. The M4 has to be *just* enough better than the M3 to keep new sales going, and I suspect they've hit that bullseye.

All in all I'm disappointed. You will still need $€500 worth of addons to make the rifle "standard". The top picatinny rail is too short and the bottom picatinny as well. The Airmarksman fx impact backbone rail long feels mandatory for me and a saber tactical arca rail as well. Will FX sell a longer top picatinny rail or will we have to wait for other manufacturers to fix the problem for us? I'm hoping current saber tactical arca rails will fit the M4 so people wont have to buy new ones. I'm guessing the top rail isn't compatible so we will have to wait for saber/airmarksman to fix the problem. I also assume the tungsten hammer that costs less than $€1 to manufacture will be a $€30-40 addon as well.

- How much top rail do you need to mount a scope? With the cost of clip on night vision, there's not too many people running it on an air rifle. Most people run digital. - The M4 essentially copied the Airmarksman Backbone rail- did you not watch the vid? - It was mentioned in the vid that current trigger guard/bottom rails will all work with the M4. - Why not wait to see performance numbers before assuming you need a tungsten hammer?

@@212caboose I want to mount more than just a scope on the top rail. Adding things like camera recording addons, clips ons and similar means that if I mounted the scope as far away from me as possible the length would mean I'd have 1-2" or 2-5cm of cheekrest I could use. - The M4 did NOT copy the airmarksman backbone rail- did you not watch the vid? The M4 just cut a long dovetail rail you can slide a picatinny riser on. It's still a very thin piece of aluminum that I'm sure will flex/wobble just as much as the M3 did. The Airmarksman backbone is a complete system. The first thing it does is strengthen the entire rifle so it doesn't flex/wobble anymore. The second thing it does is allow you to select how much picatinny rail you want. Because it's a large piece of aluminum it's very sturdy and rigid compared to what the rifle comes with. - If the trigger guard rail replacements for the M3 also fit the M4 then that would be good. Then again since the one that comes with the rifle is barely adequate one would have expected it to come with a longer arca/picatinny rail. - It's not a question if you need the tungsten hammer. It's a question of if it should be in the rifle by default. It's a very cheap part that's sold at a ridiculous price for what it is. To me feels like a micro transaction from a greedy games company trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. Same reason I think the DRS Pro is a scam since you can buy a DRS Synthetic and the chassi the DRS chassi is based on for about $€200 cheaper than just the DRS Pro. Does a tungsten hammer provide a benefit? If yes then why not include it by default as the cost to manufacture is very low? If it does not provide any benefit then why sell it at all? It feels like a salesperson is trying to get you to buy extras that you do not actually need.

I have an FX IMPACT M3 in .22 caliber and I recently bought a Liner Heavy and received it in the 1.18 version in the 700mm size. I haven't seen any information about it or about the difference between the 1.18 and the 1.16 on any website or forum. I noticed that the shock of the 1/18 is much greater than that of the 1/16, because the velocity decreases a lot with the 1/18. They need to make a bigger regulator instead of using that same tiny amp regulator in every gun. If you have an M3, just buy a brass piston and a Saber Tactical front reg delete, and you'll have the new M4. Crazy. 😂

@Reeldegen right. The 750 plenum obviously fits the M3, which is just a hair thicker in width. They added no length to it. I'm going to try and get the shroud for my 800 mm barrel. That's the only thing I like on the M4 is the shroud on the 800 mm.

is it really a good idea to remove 1st regulator??.. because M3 was marketed based on dual reg...and 2nd reg will get less stress on it and it will be more consistent...so on....in m3 also brass piston can be upgraded....i think removing 1st regulator is for cost cutting 😒

With the AMP regulator update there is no need for the 1st regulator anymore , the sub 12 versions still benefit from it . You can upgrade the M3 reg to the brass piston .

I am selling my MK2 and have carefully looked at replacing with either a MK3 or MK4. Far as I can see the MK4 is really a hunting gun. As I shoot bench, the MK3 is considerably better for me. In Oz the difference is about $200 so price is not that much of a consideration when deciding. I need the tuning ability that the MK3 has over my MK2. Unfortunately I still have to buy the stiffening rails that FX should be putting on as standard in the first place to counteract their thinner barrels. I use a single shot loader because the plastic rotary magazines are atrociously unreliable as they get older.

I expected something different, something with more changes, more power, seems no competition to RTI Mora from fx at the moment. AEA announced 480 bar pcps , pumps, supersonic airguns and ammunition, strongest compact airgun in the world, RTI Mora killing it with great design, and what we get from fx, some cosmetics...
