Did you use the medium duty spring rate coils or the heavy duty spring rate? You don't even have a winch on and those springs looks fairly compressed already and i'm in the process of building my first 80 so any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated! Have an awesome day!

they are Icon dual rate springs, so perhaps you are looking at the progressive section of the coil which is tighter.

Yes, 1995-1997 on the Diesel is the 24 valve 1HD -FT motor.

One more quick question, what do you think of the '92 HZJ-80 with the Central lock? IE: do you think its a huge hinderance without the front and rear and only being AWD?

only if you were planning to Rock Crawl... but then again, there is ARB air lockers

Love the videos! My wife and I are still searching for our LC. We love the 80 series of course, but have been looking at the 200's for the power. This video has me rethinking that a little. She wants some towing capability as well thats why we were thinking LC200. But man that 80 is the business! Nice rig Brother!

The 200 will tow much more, 8000lbs (maybe 8500), but the 80 is 5000lbs. So that could possibly make your decision.

The lights look cool, but they are weak. I have other lighting, so I haven't tried putting in a LED bulb. but not much on the wiring.

rough estimate, what do you price Otis at right now after all the mods?

I would price OTIS at between 50-55k. Reasons being are, it is rust free and very clean. To find a 200k miles and less that has 0 rust and triple locked would cost you about 25k right now. Then to add on all the mods, it would be another 30k, and upgrades to hold value on a 80 series.

Question, bought a 1997 with 174k I've had it a few months and it's burning oil within. Would it be wise to rebuild before selling or just came down on the price 3K ?
