This video really helped alot. One question. Once you have finished removing the air and bubbles are no longer visible. Do you remove all the fluid from the cylinder again,remove the tool with the hose, screw the brakes lines back, and then put fluid again into the reservoir? Thank you
@StillStandingGarage Жыл бұрын
I leave the brake fluid in there. I quickly remove the tool and screw in the brake lines. Thank you for watching 👊💯.

know this is an older video but can you explain the proportioning valve bleed tool? I'm struggling to bleed the brakes on my Regal right now
@StillStandingGarage10 ай бұрын
For sure. The bleed tool goes in place of the sensor on top of the proportioning valve. With the tool in there, it locks the shaft inside, preventing it from moving. This will allow you to properly bleed your brakes.

Did you bleed the lines? Also, did you use the proportioning valve tool to vleed them?
@tonymartinez1647 Жыл бұрын
@@StillStandingGarage i didn’t get the valve
@StillStandingGarage Жыл бұрын
Try using the tool. Without it, you can lock up the proportioning valve, and it will prevent you from properly bleeding the lines.

So before the magic of editing. How long did it take for you to get the 4 bolts off the booster? I had a hella of a night last night getting mine off and the new one back ON and this video did zero when it comes to preparing for that BS.
@elcaminodraco2 жыл бұрын
Just so everyone watching knows it isn't going to be no 6:13 minutes to remove this booster and/or master cylinder.
@StillStandingGarage2 жыл бұрын
I go over it in the video. I didn't have any issues removing it at all. My issue was putting it back on. I went over this in the video... I mentioned all my issues when reinstalling. I do mention it took 45min to a hour just to link and bolt up the booster. Normally work like this will never take the time you see on a video. As for me I like to at least mention my struggles and time it took. If you have any questions in the future on something you see on my channel feel free to hit me up on here, Instagram, or email I'm more than happy to help as much as I can.

@@StillStandingGarage did you have any issues bleeding the master cylinder while mounted on the booster like that? Should I bench bleed it to keep it more level?
@towcars55508 күн бұрын
Is it necessary to bleed it like that...or doing it old school will be the same
@StillStandingGarage8 күн бұрын
If replacing the master cylinder, it needs to be bench bled or like I did.
@towcars55508 күн бұрын
Ok I didn't know there was a difference how yours work out reason y I'm asking some video people did it before they installed it
@StillStandingGarage8 күн бұрын
@towcars5550 Mine worked out. It has to bench bled because the master cylinder is new and doesn't have any brake fluid in there. You want to ensure it's properly bled.

What's the reason for the valve bleeder tool for
@StillStandingGarage2 күн бұрын
It's so the pin inside the proportioning valve doesn't block the pathway when you're trying to bleed the brakes.
@towcars5550Күн бұрын
@StillStandingGarage 🤔... I'ma try and look in to it more ..sounds like it will make a difference...I usually bleed my brakes old fashion wat from rear to front
@StillStandingGarageКүн бұрын
Yes, it's from the furthest wheel to closest to master cylinder. Passenger rear, driver rear, passenger front, then driver front.
