Teddy was YG's producer, he has nothing to do with YG anymore, since the end of 2022 he is no longer part of the YG company, he along with other investors bought theblaklabel, YG's current producer is choisse 37 and he is in charge of YG's groups, now choisse 37 will work with 2in1 and blackpink, as well as he does with babymoster, tesoro and Akmu, so neither Teddy, Neither miavv, nor somy, nor izna have anything to do with YG

Well, he is doing this especially in this concert coz he is performing 20+ songs in this solo concert and most of those songs are rap, so to consume his energy wisely.

Like many concerts we’re used to seeing in the west where the singer stands with the mic or swings the mic, people like GD are dancing, running, singing and rapping for 3 hours with no break. My other favorite group Stray Kids are 8 doing the same thing and their dance choreography are very intense and complicated but they are 8 to each catch their breath while another sings, GD is all by himself. He knows when to catch his breath for more important parts of the performance. Taeyang does it too on his solo concerts and he dances and moves a lot too. They’re both very good at it, it’s almost an artform how they strategically let the backtrack take over and bounce back to real live singing. Many other groups lip sync while performing but never bb or solo bb, they don’t pretend, they show us when they’re not singing live. If you notice in all the Power MVs he released, he never sings or move his mouth pretending to sing, I take that to mean he is true to his belief in not lip syncing. My only reason for not giving it a 10 is they sprayed his beautiful long hair so it didn’t fall down naturally when he took off his hair band 😂.

This DUO will always REMAIN a LEGEND 😝🎼♥️🪽. They were so AMAZING prior to the later groups. Their band traveled with them back them I get so NOSTALGIC for these two groups. CL & GD are INCREDIBLE PERFORMERS. Teddy wrote their music and I believe he was in FIRST GENERATION KPOP Group TYM. MAYA from XG said she wanted to be like 2ne1. COCONA loves BIG BANG and cried when XG attended TAEYONG’s concert And he hugged her. This was LIVE and exciting. Great Choice.

Honestly 2017 was THE toughest year for GD (not sure about 2019 since he wasn't active). He went on the solo tour all over the world with really bad health conditions (physically and mentally, if you have a chance to check his ACT III MOTTE documentary). I agree it's not the best year to appreciate his live performance, but I guess that's all he could give at that point. BTW Teddy was the main producer of YG (founded and now managing YG's related company The Black Label) but before all that he was the "leader" of the OG hip-hop group 1TYM hence the song title

😊 Yes , I do wish GD would sing the full song but I like that he does not lie . He does not keep the mic near his mouth and pretend he sings . Bigbang has a lot of experience and they organise their performances well . Is work smart not harder . They chose to have these moments where they let the backtrack play so the overal performance is good instead of force themselves do it all and be exausted , sound bad . I have seen new groups holding on walls after a performance. 😅 Honestly Bigbang members have so much charisma that they can mostly sit there and would still be awesome . During his show last year Taeyang at Joisei University Akaraka festival there were parts where the audience was singing and he was hyping them up . . Awesome show . When he dance he gave 100% , when he sing he gave 100% and he knew when to breath and rest without making it boring for the audience. 😊 The videos are on Taeyang's chanel if you want to try watch them .

Leaders originally features Teddy, he is former YG producer and a former leader of 1tym, YG's disbanded 1st generation boy group. He produced every single Blackpink song plus many BB songs along with GD (Bang Bang Bang or Still Life). He now has his own label, The Black Label (Rosé of BP and Yb of Bigbang both signed with him) and his label just debuted theor first group - Meovv. It's the girlgroup Dae mentioned during Zip Daesung, he said something along the line that they are interesting and he keeps an eye on them

A lot of people suggest this version but I love the version with Teddy. Teddy, G-Dragon, and CL were leaders of their respective groups under YG. So they each have verses in the song. In 2NE1 TV, there's also Big Bang TV included. GD said something like he was worried CL would do better than him in recording the song. He came up with calling her The Baddest Female, and later she released a song with that title.

As a VIP I prefer honest reaction rather than praising for views, I appreciates your honesty. But some background which can explain why he not sing sometime 1) Its his style. He did it in MAMA too so he can do whatever performance and magics he wants 2) In the Motte documentary movie, you can see he is in the edge of depression because of the pressure and also TOP's drug scandal (TOP was in coma due to overdose 2 days before this tour started). In bullshit, you can see how skinny he were, nearly only skin and bone 3) He needs to finish 30+ concerts within 120 days over the world, which is tough and he need to do just by himself. I guess he needs to save energy if the backtrack can help 4) The concert has 24 songs, there was a scene in the documentary that when Daesung looking at the setlist and said "wow.....(so many)"

To clear up one mistake, T.O.P was not in a coma due to an overdose of drugs. He was in a coma due to a suicide attempt AFTER he was arrested for smoking mary jane years before when his ex-girlfriend snitched on him (and B.I. from iKON and Wonho from MonstaX) to save herself from being prosecuted for methamphetamines. He has freely admitted to the suicide attempt via anxiety medications. When you say he overdosed on drugs to a Western Audience/Viewer that sounds like he was overdosing on illegal drugs because he was a drug addict. He smoked something legal in many countries. He overdosed on prescribed medications while serving in the military in an attempt to end his own life.

Addition: Teddy was a member of a hip-hop boy group named 1TYM (One-Tym) that started in 1998, but many people still don't know that, but gladly I discovered them. 1TYM group was also under YG ENTERTAINMENT, along with BIGBANG(2006) and 2NE1(2009). No wonder all music produced under YG with the help of our boy named 'Teddy' has the same strong vibe where non-fans were so easy to get hooked up to this day. 🫶🏻

got my subscribe I'm vicariously living my old deep dive through you, its awesome. So very far to go but I'm enjoying your/my ride:) had to edit this on your observation on how much he does camera work and lets background vocal track take over and its after a while i realized that kpop concerts have built in tons of cardio intense dance/stage stuff and on tours its impossible to do everything so you learn to pick and choose the moments, but yeah, its weird for Americans to hear so much background stuff. Different music cultures. Truth of the matter is the vaaaaast majority of Kpop artists mostly lip-sync at concerts, its basically unwatchable for most of us that knows what to look for, bleh. Its mostly backstreet boys lip-sync concerts in K pop, which is why I'm not a kpop fan.

I bet you already figured it out, just in case. The song “The Leaders” was originally performed by Teddy, GD and CL back in the early days like around 2009. Before Teddy became one of YG's main producers, he was the leader of a male group named 1TYM（pronounce one-time）. So,Teddy's the leader, and GD's the leader, CL's the leader, you already know, that explains the title. Pity with Teddy's progress in his music production career, he rarely performs...or say he stopped performing. So this song is mainly perform by GD and CL only.
