The participation of 2NE1 was done secretly and the audience did not know they were performing. So happy happy. CL also arranged for them to perform at Coachella in 2023.

Not just the audience but even the MAMA staff, even the cameraman was literally shookt. I think only the show executives knew about CL bringing the girls with her, it was a top secret they did not even rehearse in the venue. And to think, they were inactive for quite a while that time, they nailed the stage through mastery of their craft, muscle memory and familiarity of their group dynamics I guess😂

This performance was during the whole BOM Scandal & the whole 2ne1 showing up to perform was a surprise and they kept it under wraps! Even when Dara and Minzy popped up everyone wasn’t sure if BOM would join and so when she did everyone went crazy! This 2015 stage was indeed the last performance of the 4 as 2ne1 for a while. They then joined CL @ coachella 2022 which was their first reunion stage since their breakup. Then ofcourse you know, their official reunion was this year 2024 - for their world tour. Also - the dancer you keep pointing out is Parris Goebel. A big name in the dance industry and the main choreographer for this stage. You would have seen her in BigBang’s Bang Bang Bang - she choreographed a lot of YG’s songs & many other groups.

cant believe this has been 10YRS ago, this was so ICONIC in many levels. we didn't know then, not even 2ne1 that it was going to be their last stage. we mourned for years for a sudden end we did not deserve like an open wound nobody healed from but fast forward 2024 THE QUEENS quite literally risen from the grave and UNDISBANDED THEMSELVES. GROUP HUG BLACKJACKS ITS BEEN ONE A HELLA JOURNEY FOR US

When CL was under YG. After they disbanded. YG was not promoting her anymore. For example, she called for the closure of the Olympic Games.The company didn't support her.She found dancers at her own expense, sewed costumes for them and for herself, and made makeup for herself. She had so many songs but YG never released them.Even didn’t let Scooter Braun to do this.Cause YG blocked the chance.After some years we say leaked songs and one video but was never released. So she left YG after her contract was ended and after 2 weeks she lunched so much songs and videos. (2ne1 was on the top of popularity then and her career too).

The back up dancers are called Royal Family, they are globally known dance crew, the silver short hair you were pointing out is Paris Goebel. She is the lead choreographer.. They also worked and perform with Bigbang that night. She worked with CL for her solo work and with Bigbang Bang Bang Bang. The crew worked for Justin Bieber during his purpose tour and Rihanna's recent half time show performance

The dancer is Parris Goebel. She’s an amazing dancer and she has her own dance group, The Royal Family. Goebel choreographed for many artists including Justin Bieber and Rihanna.

Bom was mailed her prescription medicine for ADD from her doctor in the USA. In Korea that medicine is illegal. Charges ended up being dropped but there was negative publicity, The company did not give her strong support and the group was put on hiatus for two years. This was a very painful period for all of the members. Minzy after two years of doing no performing asked permission to do solo performance but the company denied her. So Minzy did not renew her contract. The remaining 3 wanted to continue but the company moved Bom to their subsidiary label. Finally the company disbanded the group with telling them. This was a very painful period for the four of them as they did not want to disband. Unfortunately YG owned the name 2NE1 and the songs so the group could not continue on its own. This happened at the time Blackpink debuted using songs originally written for 2NE1.
