If we are lucky GD returns this year to drag us and the entire industry ,once again, kicking and screaming , into the future . He is one of the most creative minds on the planet and one form of art is not enough to really express his ideas. Apart from writing and producing music in many genres, he paints , he designs . He once got a lot of hate for gathering artists in various fields and organise an art expo . He express himself with fashion . Muse to Karl Lagerfield, he is now the only male ambassador of Chanel. He has his own fashion house . Designed 4 shoe models with Nike . His last solo album was in usb form . The industry didnt want to recognise it and he had to fight and change their idea of what is an album . He now formed a partnership with an AI , metaverse company and we all wait to see what new form his art will take . New kids try to integrate in the west. GD instead of music festivals went to the biggest technology convention . He said he even has interest in car design . Crooked is pain put into words . Highly recommend you read the lyrics. There are videos of live performances of it with translation , by fans . GD has many tattos . One of them is Too fast to live , too young to die . MV was filmed in London . I would say it is as much punk as korean public can handle 😊.

It sucks that so many old yg videos don't have captions because where GD shines most imo is lyrically, he's a lyrical genius! And often it doesn't always translate to English perfectly as he includes a lot of world play etc. And GD definitely isn't straight edge especially back then 😅 he smokes and collects wine from 1988!

This song is actually sad and full of despair, also with a lot of anger which can be felt more through the music. He is a multi-faceted artist, G Dragon is very much an extroverted and polite leader who likes to party and knows exactly what he wants but Kwon JiYong (his real name) is very timid, also very polite with a heart that can get easily hurt. His solo music is deeply autobiographical and very introspective, that's why his lyrics are worth getting to know. His most recent EP, titled Kwon JiYong, was realeased in 2017 and is markedly different from his previous works. From this EP all songs deserve to be listened to because they show his inner turmoil from that time and the growth he had as a person; he only released one MV, Untitled 2014 which is SO sad and beautiful. If you watch it with lyrics you can feel your heart break because his voice emotes his feelings so well, I cry a little every time I hear that song. The behind the scenes for Crooked is really funny to watch because he kept apologizing and bowing to the extras after every scene where he was acting rude, he is not regarded as one of the most polite artists in South Korea in vain. 😅

Some of his tattoos in this mv are real but not all. This song is really sad and the mv is about acting out bc he’s in pain. GD has been the biggest trendsetter in K-pop for well over a decade now. Different hair, style, and sound nearly every comeback. Tattoos. Light sticks. Writing and producing your own music. VIPs are still waiting for him to change the game again.

G-dragon is not the same as Kwon jiyong (his real name). If you want to know the real Jiyong, I recommend listening to the 2017 album . I think this album is the most profound album in Kpop.
