How much slack is normal on the slip yoke?

thanks for the video man am having troubles with my driveshaft ( vibrating on high speeds) in my 73 Charger 4 speeds , new u-joints and it was balanced . turned out it is short now am going to extend it . my question how much free play should i leave between the end of the tailshaft and the yoke ( i measured from the external rubber seal previously to the yoke about 1" is that okay for the driveshaft to rub against the outer rubber seal or will it cut it . thanks

So Id be careful extending it any closer than an inch as its job is to slip in and out as the suspension travels up and down also the yoke shouldn't touch the seal it will tear it up it should seal against the slip section of the yoke.
