I think you may have the lengthening and shortening backwards. I think you were referring to adjusting the lower trailing arm when you said upper. If you lengthen an "upper" trailing arm doesn't this rotate the axle and pinion upwards at the front? You said, "To rotate the pinion down a little bit, we would actually lengthen the upper trailing arm."

So glad he went over all the math involved, oh wait he didn't bother so we learned nothing.

Actually I thought the same thing but went back & looked at the video again..if he would have used the analog angle finder he would have had to write the math down to add or what not... but by him using the Easier method digital Angle finder in step 1, he zeroed it out which means go to step 2 meaning the transmission is the same as the zeroed out balancer pulley. (no shims or adjustment needed) I would have thought he would have done the drive shaft too but he skipped that & went straight to the pinion. In reference to the pulley & transmission the digital finder says it was .5 Upwards meaning positive. With reference to the Pinion.. He stated that in needs to be a .5 degree downward meaning negative-- because the differential rotates Upward & needs to be adjusted as such so it will be 0 under that launch load.= parallel ( In other words by the digital finder zeroed out at the first measurement there is no math involved it found it easier cuz its already calculated for you). .5 is what he saw on that digital angle finder...... make your adjustments until you see -.5 (negative .5) and that's it.

I thought every angle measure needed to be the same (parallel to each other) for optimal driveline functionality.

No suspension needs to be loaded at ride height
