It's interesting that you mentioned AC/DC because the whole album is inspired by them! Even the album name I NEVER DIE is inspired by the AC/DC song, BACK IN BLACK which is a tribute to their singer who died one year before it's release. (the lyrics of the song goes: forget the hearse cause I NEVER DIE) I don't know how much you know about Gidle and their member Soojin's departure from the group last year but AC/DC was in the same situation as Gidle back then. The song "Back in Black" is about moving on and finding your own strengths to continue. I remember reading a comment under their teaser that said "This is their back in black" Soyeon is literally a genius for this concept and this song! Thank you so much for the great reaction it was fire and your excitement was exactly how we all felt with this album and this song in particular

They killed it! What a comeback, all of them are absolutely stunning, but Minnie and Yuqi just blew my mind away with the "I'm a f* tomboy Thank you so much for your reaction and this early, I think you were waiting for this as much as everyone lol BTW, did you hear the B-sides? This might change, but for now "Liar" is my fave of this album, Yuqi's voice match the song perfectly.

At the beginning I was worried because it look like a girl crush concept and now on days every single gg is doing that concept till the point every song sounds the same and practically looks the same. But idle really knows how to give, once again proving their amazing music is their own. Loved the song, loved every bit of it and I don't have to force me to listen it a million times to like it because I just love it.

Also idk if you know about the political situation in sk at the moment, but in case you don't, actually the rising and most popular political parties rn are conservative and openly anti-feminism (claiming basic sh*ts like it's dangerous for men and that now they're oppressed etc); they want to basically go back in time and establish new very shocking things. So it's really alarming and disastrous for women. Thus maybe I think too deep about this comeback, but I couldn't help but think about this o.o So it felt even MORE powerful when I heard it _ Plus knowing they're deciding everything themselves make it even more meaningful. I LOVE THEM FFS haha Thanks a lot for your as usual very refreshing reaction, and I need to say we love a man that dig this kind of messages, it's very heart-warming haha. Much love~
@MS-eb8ps2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you are from SK. It seems like you are a feminist from there. I gotta tell you one thing as a woman. You better go for military service before claiming the same right as men. I am a professional engineer and I fought for it working hard for years and now nobody is going against me in my field. I feel really sorry for those girls who ask for sympathy when it comes to duty and raise their voices for their rights. I don't think the conservative party now is anti-feminism. The new government is asking the same level of competence from women. That's it !!
@SilmeriaFantasy2 жыл бұрын
@@MS-eb8ps I’m afraid you’re getting things mixed up way too far; basic logic: who implemented the military service…? Yeah, right. Men. Plus using the argument, which is not btw, of "women should do the same us men if they want the same rights", is so, SO wrong in many ways. First because again, who’s fault it is that we still can’t do, or couldn’t for centuries do the same as men? Also, even if that wasn’t the problem, then it should work the other way around too, and men should do what women do. Which is in fact what feminism is about too, equality of genders also means that. Even if that’s a very rough way to sum it up. Also taking your case as a generality doesn’t work. Lots of women have a really hard time doing what you did (society leading them to be a mother instead of a worker and not both) and even if they get to do it, lots are absolutely not respected. But I’m happy you managed to do this and doesn’t face any problem with it now. Finally, saying the conservative isn’t anti-feminism… how much in denial or blinded are you? They have the same speech as the anti-feminism movement. They even want to revamp or abolish the ministry or gender equality. And that without mentioning the rest. I don’t know what you need…
@MS-eb8ps2 жыл бұрын
@@SilmeriaFantasy I don't get your point. Women are holding guns and fight against Russia in Ukraine. Why can't you?? You just don't want to fulfill the duty as a citizen because you are a woman? That's such an irony. Again, you are making yourself a joke by mentioning feminism. The word feminism itself is a self-contradicting. Why not masculinism? Why do women need special treatment? That word, feminism alone reflects discrimination.

The only thing I don't like about the teaser is that it gave away the chorus. I know prior to the release Soyeon talked about how idol is considered a man's game since female idols in the industry are given power when it comes to creation, which is obviously something Soyeon thrives at. So while I think on one level the song is a song about setting a man in her relationship straight and being proud of who she is, I think it is also an attack on the industry. Like it shouldn't matter if they are a man or a woman, they are idols who want to create. Her saying Ping Pong sticks out to me because she sounded a bit like Hyuna there. Last year, Hyuna and Dawn put out a song called Ping Pong which was about their love so I'm curious if it is a reference to that. At one point, Hyuna could have been considered the standard for sex appeal in the industry (especially when she was in Cube), but certainly is setting a new path now that she is part of P-Nation. The loss of g for this song and just referring to themselves as idle is a reference to them not wanting to be considered girls. Also, I heard G represents 6, so for the teasers, the G was faded and the V in Never was large to make it clear that they are sadly a 5 member group now. As usual, great job with this reaction. I absolutely loved this song. I listened to it like 3 times before I could do anything else this morning.
