There's been a couple theories about the bracelet, but I'll present mine. First, the vintage figure had one. Leatherneck was a Force Recon Marine during the Vietnam War. During that conflict, the Montagnard bracelets were very popular among GI's. The Montagnard bracelet is a wire bracelet with ball ends exactly like what we see on Leatheneck. In the 80's, those bracelets were popular in surplus stores and mail order ads in magazines like Soldier of Fortune. As a kid, I had a silver one I ordered from SOF that looked just like Leatherneck's.

In the cartoon, he was definitely a bigger guy ! They should have used a muscular/bigger body for him.

Bracelet on his right arm is a POW / MIA bracelet. Rifle he came with is a M4 with a M203 grenade launcher Fist is for shark news 😂
