This video saved me from damaging my new GMWB5000TVA-1. This bracelet was BY FAR the hardest Ive ever had to size. My rolex, GS, and others were far easier since most of those use screws. Pin and collar is the absolute worst system. Hell I would have taken a rubber strap with a clasp over this.. Anyway its over now and hopefully I'll never have to do it again. For anyone reading this make sure you 1) have the right tools ( I purchased the tool linked on this page which helped a ton) and 2) allow yourself plenty of time aka DONT BE IN A HURRY. Good luck fellow watch geeks!

The best system. Least prone to failing compared to everything else. Good for G-shock.

ROB...... when pushing pins out and back in, you push in direction of arrow both times. This pushes the centre bushing against the centre block so it is centred. I've told you/ bugged you a few times now 😩... Of course you can do it the other way, it will just not be centred as easily.

I saw a video from long island watch where he said you push in the direction of the arrow to remove the pin, but when inserting the pin again, it goes in from the opposite side. Is this different then for g shocks?

Super guide. Made my life a lot easier doing this first time. Got some non-marking pliers and they were awesome. Still managed to bend the first pin somehow !

I don’t really know why people complain if a bracelet doesn’t have screws. Pins or pins and collars are just fine.

Wow fast n easy. I remember my triton bracelet also have little cylinder in their link. And i had a hard time to resize it. Maybe could you make a tutorial with an explanation?

One thing: when you size bracelets or change straps, try to do it on a tray with a raised lip. This stops screws and things from rolling away and off the table.

Or... simply place a microfiber cloth on your work surface for same effect LOL

Your video really helped me with my TVA as well, I can't thank you enough. On another note , for spare collars and pins is there something you recommend ? Brand / make I mean, or if you have a link even better. They are so small that it feels if sized again I might lose them, so thinking ahead.

It looks like Rob uses the Horotec Deluxe model. There are other Horotec and no name models on the website. I wonder how the no name model holds up?
@RandomRobReviews4 жыл бұрын
In description I posted link to what I used, it’s a cheaper version not the Horotec.
@michaelalauriajr79974 жыл бұрын
Random Rob duh, yes you did. It looked like the Horotec Deluxe model so I made a presumption. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

If you want the clasp centered on your wrist you might want to remove a link from each bracelet piece.

Hi Rob, I currently have a full metal in black which fits my 6.5” wrist ok (any bigger and it would be too big) so my question is, does the titanium wear any bigger (or smaller?) than the full steel models? Thanks

why you did not use any masking tape ? around ? what about micro scratches ???

Micro scratches on a watch I intend to wear? Not concerned with such problems

Pin and collar is very secure. Once sized you are good to go never gonna touch again.
@alexpalma32444 жыл бұрын
Craig G I think seiko has been improving their pin and collar system as well. The collar goes from the inner part of the link so you avoid the problem of the collar coming out from the outer part of the link once you re-insert the pin. I Hope I explained myself 👍🏽

expensive watch..but pins are require to remove links..not worth the price😔
@elzippo4885 ай бұрын
You didn't even show how to size the bracelet,. All you did was demo how to remove links with a pin/link removal jig most of us don't even own.
