I love each version so much. They are all so unique. I think honestly, the Norwegian version is my favorite. There's something about how gentle her voice is. However, each version is absolutely beautiful in their own way. It's hard to hate any of them. Whoever picked the VA's for the movie they all sound so similar to each Belle.
En vrai la voix de Louane colle mieux au personnage que les autres voix, ça fait plus ado

I really like the French lyrics, the Polish version was translated by our Belle herself and it's literally a calque from English x.x Too bad neither Germany nor France released soundtrack, but the fact that Italy, Brasil, Latin America and Spain didn't dub the songs is even more stupefying to me. :/ Germany released Belle on Blu-ray yesterday
@FlamSparks2 жыл бұрын
Don't even say that x) (no, seriously, please edit your comment and remove that first bit...you never know...) I did wonder out loud why the Norwegian version has a soundtrack and other versions don't, but in fact, I think I actually know the reason why. These dubbings are not like the ones by Disney, all controlled by the same system and checked by Disney US itself. They all depend on the availability of local studios who decide to take over the dubbing basically on a voluntary base. And each of them has its own policy, both for the source language used for the translation and for the dubbing of the songs. Clearly, the French version was translated directly from Japanese, that much is evident (and so is the Italian version), and was probably taken over by a minor studio which wouldn't take the chance of releasing a soundtrack (in the future they might, who knows). The Norwegian version, on the other hand, for some reason was made by Sony, like the English version, and it followed the same policy for the soundtrack and used the translation provided by them...which was in English.
@meliae.2 жыл бұрын
@@FlamSparks Okay, changed it, don't wanna tempt fate. x) Yeah, makes sense. Here, on the other hand, it was distributed by a minor studio as well, but they released two songs, one being Lend Me Your Voice, which was the most fatuous idea they could come up with, why not "U". :s I was conscientiously listening to the German version earlier today and it was translated from Japanese, too
@FlamSparks2 жыл бұрын
Well, I'm glad to know at least some of the versions made the extra effort of seeking out someone who could actually translate from Japanese (or I will even pass it if they took fan-made translations from the internet, anything but translating from the English version!)

The translation is just weird, i think it's because of that. the lyrics does not make a lot of sens, it's just complicated word together that are just not realistic and does not make a good version. However, translating a song to make it suits the original one is pretty hard so it's totally understandable.

@@polyesterp7566French songs always have to integrate : rythm, poetry (even puns) and meaning. It is super important. The text is written like poetry and reflect the loneliness of Belle, her wish for her voice to be meaningful, and also to find a purpose in her life. « Is the blow of the wind leading my feet? Melody, you are going away, carry me with you. I dream of a world where this melody can change everything. every day passing by, I have to live without you, I am afraid to fail to live Etc… »

@@AmericaFuckYeah4 But fun fact, the author tell for Goku that his japanese voice was the perferct idea of what he wanted. Because it's an anime, he doesn't need to be realistic and it was also the goal to make Goku sound like a child. Because Goku is pretty care free and childish. So technically, the original is the best because it was the author imagined and the voice that make Goku personality more accurate.

@aelitastone5629 Just because he acts like a child doesn't mean he is one. Adults can be childish and Children can be Mature. The "childish" voice doesn't match the fighting scenes and dialog majority of the time.

@@dolly9518 lol I actually have learned japanese in Highschool and still speak and understand it decently well. But even so you dont need to have to know japanese to want to watch a movie in your own language. And subtitles don't work for everyone. Children, People with certain disability like Dislexia or partial blindness would not be able to watch this beautiful movie if it wasn't dubbed. So yeah I just think your opinion is dumb and exclusionary. Granted my French is pretty rusty so I might not be a great judge of whether or not this version is as good as others. But I quite enjoyed the Japanese, English and German Versions which were the ones I understand. If people like you were in charge so many movies would never make it out of the countries let alone be made. Most big budget movies nowadays are made to make money not only domestically but also internationally. If movies were never dubbed, many countries would probably not bother even showing them, meaning they would make less money, meaning there would be less movies like this made
