Another cool feature with the G1000 is the configuration mode... you can see the status of all external kits and their interface statuses that run through the GIAs. Additionally, you have full command of the Digital IO and can command those freely in maintenance mode. The logging files that can be created with Garmin's tools are also pretty extensive and can log a variety of parameters under just about any condition.

I learned, in this video, that even if you don't have a magnetic compass in your plane, the magnetometers work as one by displaying the correct magnetic compass reading into the G-100 0. i was very confused about this before i watched this video so thank you guys very much!

What instruments would you rely on if the entire glass system failed you. I always thought the six pack was always kept as backup. Great video, thanks.

You’re right that all glass cockpits are required to have backup instruments in case of failure. For most planes, this backup system includes steam gauges, but in our planes, we have the backup instruments on a second glass panel to the left of the Primary Flight Display (PFD). You can see this in the video, but also on the image on our homepage www.flyaeroguard.com/ over her left shoulder. This screen is able to display attitude, heading, altitude and airspeed information.

@@cn9936 I used to worry about the class cockpit failures, but you can see they have separate smaller displays (garmin g5's I think). After watching some videos on how Garmin tests their devices, I realized they are way more reliable than vacuum pumps
