@vacvacd43 unless I'm misunderstanding something, I don't see how that's the case. By saying no, he's showing that he's capable of rating NiKo as not a top 20 player despite the past & his bias. If Kassad had said NiKo is still a top 20 player in CS2 or something like that, saying no would be logically inconsistent, but I don't recall him saying that. My interpretation was that Thorin was trying to bait Kassad into saying yes so that he could make the "in your mind, NiKo can't fall outside top 20" point. If you see it differently though, feel free to explain

It’s a pipe dream due to the already insane cost of running a major, but a more competitive angle is the take elements of the old system and incorporate them in to the new one. -24 Teams at the major -Determined by a global qualifier LAN -Regional Minors feed into said qualifier -Previous major and minor attendees are automatically invited, the rest filled from open quals -48 teams attend LAN qualifier (obviously never happening lol) with the same flawed slot system they have for the majors currently ie. more slots for the region only if said region happened to over perform in previous qualifier -Top 24 from said qualifier attend major, which is seeded by performance at this LAN -Alternatively bring back top 8 automatically qualifying for next Major (incentivising going further in the tourney for 2x sticker money) and make it a 32 team qualifier This way regions that get stronger still have a chance to have more teams attend majors, but the seeding for the major itself isn’t impacted, and we never end up with the outrageous half Swiss bullshit that Americas had this RMR It makes for better seeded majors, more competitive qualifiers, more international games, storyline potential, underdog potential, and a slightly more aligned incentive structure for the teams Only problem is convincing a Valve to help fund it, a TO certainly doesn’t want to fund a 32 Team LAN weeks before hosting a bigger 24 team LAN with Playoffs in an arena.

For the timeouts, leave the number the same and let the coach speak through the freeze time attached to each timeout and you get the extra time. (Not all freeze times)

Please let me know if its a good idea. The qualifications can work like this: For example, a team would play against their region for 2 games. And then the third game is against another region to qualify. Complexity is 2:0 Navi is 2:0 So they play each other. 😅😊

One thing id like to add to the nivera in valorant thing is he was actually very good, especially at the beginning. Problem is that he was stuck in fucking prison rosters where scream had seemingly mind controlled everyone into giving him full power and letting him igl, they didnt even have a coach in one of those rosters. despite that nivera showed he was still a player who could do well

I've been advocating that all teams should go straight into Opening stage and have a double elim (Kato play-in style) 32 team. So they earn their Legends capsule (you can wait til the Legends stage to release capsules) Note: You can then auto-invite the top 4 from the previous Major straight to opening stage. Note: Now ex-CIS is the strongest region of Europe qualifier and soon MENA will use this to dominate Asia.

Should be 45 secs for a pause, but each team should also get a pool of ‘coach rounds,’ maybe like 2 per game, or 2 minutes of coach talking during rounds. This would let skilled coaches be able to ‘call’ sometimes and make more impact, but not just call the game as was the issue before. No idea what you’d get done in 30 seconds though, that’s barely a few sentences. Kassad is right, even 45 seems pretty small.

It's always the same, on paper they have one of the highest firepower out of any teams but right now every top10 has insane firepower. Only team that is basically certain to get into playoffs is Spirit I think.
