G37s Fuel Gauge Issue Fix - **CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT!!!** (G37/370Z Common Issues)

In today's video, I try fixing an issue that I have had for over a year. My fuel guage does not read properly after half a tank. This is a very common issue on the G37 and 370z. I replace both fuel leveling sensors yet the issue is still persisting. I posted this video to show how to change the fuel level sensor as that is a common part to go bad and can fix this issue for most people. However, seems like if replace the fuel leveling sensor doesn't fix the issue than there is something called an AC amp module unit that needs to be replaced which I will be doing shortly and making a video on it. Open up the module and sort the 161 i did that and it fix mines now i am enjoying my g37x its fast tuned her up.

Which module? Ac module unit?

@@yayasgarage the one on top the radio its white or black solder sometimes crack around 161 solder it back together and your problem fix mines was like that did my research and that was the problem now i enjoy my baby she is fassssst

Also you can use a multi meter to measure the resistance of the fuel level gauge . As you move it up and down the resistance changes. If it jumps around sporadically and isn’t consistent than you know it’s bad

its interesting i have a 15 Q60S 6MT (bout 112K miles now), i upgraded from an 08 auto base. I noticed this cars fuel gauge doesnt seem to read as accurate as my older one. glad you made this video!

Did u get it fixed? I’m having the same issue where after half tank it doesn’t read accurately. I don’t have any check engine lights, should I solder the ac module and see if the works before changing my fuel pumps/sensor?

I have not gotten it fixed yet. I have fixed both fuel leveling sensors and the fuel pump but the issue still persists. So more than likely it is the ac module unit but didn’t get the time to do it yet

Take back seats off. Open where the gas measurer is at and clean where the pin measures on the lines. With a cue-tip preferably.

Idk why guys replace the AC amp control unit with another used one😂 THEY ARE ALL FAULTY OFC U DIDNT FIX IT. U can actually take them apart and solder all the solder cracks that develop around the resistors on the board. I’ve never soldered anything in my life so if I can do it anyone can. My fuel gauge has worked for over a year now and didn’t cost anymore than a $15 solder iron gun

Thank you for that explanation!! I also have never soldered anything and I am not particularly good at working on things. I've seen a video on it and it looks relatively easy so I might give it a shot with some help with a friend bc I agree with you that buying a used AC amplifier might not fix it. But you are confirming that it is a faulty AC amplifier unit that is causing the fuel gauge not to work?

yeah you paid $15 and i paid $0 LOL guy that i took mine too said there was no cracks but i still insisted. he soldered the board for FREE i cleaned the level sensors and it fixed my problem 😹😹😹😹

I have the same problem on my 2013 infiniti g37. I wasn't able to fix mine either. Also sent it to 2 reputable auto shops and still no love. I also change the AC amp module. No luck. So frustrating! Did you by chance have any luck?

​@xxHUEJAZZxx I also called AutoZone to replace this piece and it was $750. I went on Amazon and bought a generic brand one for a significantly smaller fraction of that. It works great so far and I've had more that six months already.
