THis is a continuation of my Vans RV 10 Airplane build, in this video I show some of the features of the Garmin G3X Touch and its integration with Foreflight.

Just came across your channel a couple days ago. Very excited to see that I’m not the only one considering doing the panel install by myself. I have zero experience with stuff like this but I think I can learn.

So far so good, there are lots of references so I'm not too concerned, need to watch out for electrical noise (ground loops, power feeds, and shielding anything that is noise).

What's the objective? Can you show us a scenario where you'd use the G3X and tablet side by side?
@aleafonthewind37753 жыл бұрын
The reason I would use the tablet is not so much side by side but 1) as a backup in the cockpit (personally I find it easier to navigate) and 2 ) Do all your planning on the ground and then upload your trips.

What is this configuration module?
@aleafonthewind37753 жыл бұрын
The G3X has a configuration module (basically a memory card) that it requires to store the configuration and calibration data. Typically this comes with the LRU kit but i have not purchased that yet.

Your volume setting is so low I had to turn it all the way up to hear it.

I'm at KTTN doing final assembly on an RV-9A. I also have the G3X Touch and will be integrating it with an iPad and Foreflight. Are you in the same area?

I bounce between KDYL and KSBY but close - might be nice to connect
