G80 M3 Final Verdict and ordering a new M2

My previous Audi RS5 service plan was non refundable also. Mercedes gave me a full refund which was good, but I’m not sure if that was because it broke down and couldn’t be fixed within a reasonable amount of time, so ended up having to reject the car. I’d only recommend getting a service plan if you are going to keep the car long term because chances are you won’t get your money back.

Took delivery of one of the first custom build G80C in April 21'. Moved from F87C, which I loved. Never jived with the G80C. Front end aesthetics never grew on me and the overall size just too big. Performance wise, the S58 is a beast, but the G80C could never hide its weight. Waited on release of G87 and another design atrocity and oversized/overweight ///M car. BMW has lost its way.

I love M3 and the price is crazy if I had the 100k I’m not sure I would get the G80 I would get an older M5. G80 at 70k makes a lot more sense. I’m waiting until these prices drop a little more because I can get one.

Same. Waiting till used car prices to down a bit. For a 100k I rather save a bit more and get a used 992 911 lol

It still looks like depreciation hasn't taken effect. Most are only a couple thousand under MSRP. If they're anything like other BMWs the more options the better they'll hold their value.

@@minigiant8998 I am paying sticker for mine as well. Don't forget that the sticker price itself went up 5k +/- for the 2023. I haven't seen any drop below that but they are sitting on lots for a long time used at MSRP prices

right on. It was trending down end of last year but looking at prices now start of this year the 21-22s have come back up a bit. I've seen a few used 23s for sale, all over MSRP

I don't, but I'm just on the waiting list for an allocation so I'm guessing it's still going to be awhile before I get one still. Congrats on yours, hope it shows up on time or sooner for you!

If you got the G80 M3 in a manual, would you have re-considered keeping it?

Most likely, especially where BMW has said this is last generation they'll have a manual option. Would make it much harder to get rid of it I think.

I have in the past. I live in a high sales tax area (almost 10%) and there's many advantages to leasing typically. However, over past couple of years I haven't leased any of my vehicles because the lease rates have been insanely high so that basically kills all the benefits you would normally get. But haven't checked what leases looked like any time recently. I'm guessing if rates stay high they'll have to start coming up with better lease offers to sell cars

No but I've always just been more of a fan of the M3 vs M4. I think it's just personal preference. If I was going to get a coupe I think I'd get something a little smaller like the M2.
