late ass comment and its honestly more abt the lyrics than the performing but to be honest from suga i feel like its more of like sarcastic irritation. like hes so fucking exhausted from being angry thats hes just being a dickhead like when hes like "woah, take it easy. scoop my heart out slowly" sounds to me like hes being a sarcastic fuck wad and is like " wow babe dont rip out my heart too quickly you wouldnt wanna fucking kill me would you? like sure sure go ahead step on all the fragments too definitely wouldnt want any good memories of us would we? 🙄" to me the song feels like them being broken up with rather and it being mutual so his verse personally has this undertone where i can imagine hes thinking like "arent you the same bitch who was just head over heels for me not too long ago like how tf you gon sit and act like i dont matter to you" and then the "what are you waiting for" seems like him being petty like i can imagine thats coming after all the previous interaction and the girl suddenly starts hesitating about letting him go and considers taking him back and him still being angry and a dickhead is just like "nah fuck that finish whatchu fucking started tf u waiting for now? you werent waiting earlier when you were ripping my heart out" bc he realizes even if he went back theyd end up here again hence the "i woke up from my sweet dream this is the real you and this is the real me" but thats just my head canon.

I don't know if you knew this but tear was written by suga in 2018 when they were seriously considering disbanding they went through a lot that year and so this song was about all of the members and how basically suga felt in that moment when they were thinking of disbanding which is so sad to read back knowing the context. Also apparently when suga played this to all the boys I believe it was the guided version at the time they all burst in tears.😭

Tear live is so passionate. Hobi''s part at the end in particular really was next level. Suga and RM really set their own unique tones to it that added such power. Also, we totally get it. Hobi in the all black Dior for that performance is a fan fave. I'll never be over RM's tone and flow in Ddaeng. There was a taunting quality to it while also being kinda sexy. BTS is tradiitional clothing is my one true weakness. They look so incredible in it. Love that they did that for a song that had traditional music in it.

The rapline is out of this world! These three songs, Baepsae and others, are excepcional! They put their soul in what they do, that's why it's sooo good! The passion in all their performances (I mean all seven) create an electric atmosphere all the time... 💜💜💜💜 Tear always makes me cry. Thanks to Suga, we still have BTS. I'm sure it was the cathartic effect of the song that helped them to work their struggles and made their brotherhood even stronger.

I find Ddaeng sounds really sophisticated, I love Namjoon's whisper verse, HOT!! Ugh sounds filthy, in the beeest way possible 😈 and tear just breaks my heart, the thought that that's how they felt/ went through ooof. Hobi is plain possessed at the live of Tear, that verse is incredible, and yes gorgeous in that fit. The rapline is the heart of BTS. All 3 slayed, but it was Hobi who made me cry hard. The charisma, anger and pain Suga, RM and Hobi delivered is UNREAL. And if you know the real mening of the song (disbandment conversations in 2017) it's even worse. Their success was so overwhelming and exhausting for them 2017. Suga said tear was written for all members and they all cried when they heard the song. I think Suga started writing the song and RM and Hobi wrote their own part. Ddaeng's my absolute favorite rapline song, because it's not just a diss track. It is masterfully woven, silken LAYERS of diss from the finest of Korean craftsmen. It is diss that strings up their haters by their toes, on ropes woven from their own words. And RM's stutter-rap? CHEF'S. KISS. UGH is a "typical" BTS song in that it sounds really hype and fun on the surface, while at the same time a serious message is doing all the heavy lifting underwater. You should watch their performance of it in the 2021 Festa Room Live-- Tae steps in as fight announcer, and it's all pretty funny. Tear is... Tear. I mean, good God. I'm deeply thankful that they decided to release the track because it's a masterpiece, but given the history behind it, I wouldn't have blamed them for never choosing to perform it live. The fact that they DID is both a tribute to their rock-solid professionalism, and a demonstration of just *how* much of themselves they share with ARMY. They even shared *this* with us. It guts me that Bangtan went through such a dark point, but that darkness produced one of the most brilliant and cathartic songs I've ever heard.

I've thought about Hobi's part in Tear a lot, and I think one of the reasons it hits hard (besides the obvious - amazing rapping, a good looking fit, his emotions, movements) is the fact that the music is crescendoing with his intense vocals building and it feels like you're climaxing. You lnow how they usually say haters are jealous or unhappy themselves, honestly I'm starting to think they may have targeted Hobi like that because of his talent. Remember he was already an established dancer, etc... So maybe others thought he was a threat in the group, or just a threat in general, or they saw it as a opportunity to just tear down someone following their dreams and actually getting somewhere, or to tear down someone that didn't exactly fit there thoughts of what a idol should look or sound like....?....Honestly I have no idea. I still can't believe it's not on Spotify and other platforms 😭 I don't know korean but I know how to read hangul, so I learned the entire song except Namjoon's part because it's so hard!! After all this years I'm still learning his part because idkw I keep forgetting lol UGH is such an incredible song too and I love the message behind SO much, the lyrics are great and has a lot of play words and references like Dddaeng And Outro: Tear well.. what can I say? It's one of my favorite BTS' songs. it's on the top tier for me. When it came out and for a while we didn't know the story behind this song so later the way I saw the song changed completely. I've cried a couple of times listening it but I have to admit that most of the time I just get so hyped because the song goes HARD, especially live. 🔥 Like you said, this song does not only talk about sadness, it' contains a lot of complicated emotions that you can go through when it comes to a break up and the way BTS expressed does feelings in such a honest and raw way is amazing! "Tear" is so powerfully accurate at decribing the true, deepest, most raw feelings a person feels when you've reached the ending of a bond that was, because it's just not any good for 1 or both people anymore, when it's devolved into "tearing each other apart mercilessly" & so you know it's time for it to end so you want to end it quickly, you want to find a way to almost hate them so you'll stop hurting & stop blaming yourself and them, so you will stop questioning yourself, if you could've or should've loved them better... WOW, all the rappers parts hit the nail on the head ! From the way that ugly words may be said and worst of all; as Hobi's very last part brings out; how you're left with the too strong fear that this same kind of devastating end could ever happen in your life again...so you're afraid to love like that again...afraid that it will ever be repeated where you give your all, you invest time, energy, love, devotion into building a forever with soneone who said they felt the same way but then they didn't..and you ended up licking deep wounds for a long time..........god they hit the core of a pain in me that needed to be realized.

Tear is one of my favourite BTS songs because of the raw honesty and emotion - it never fails to give goosebumps and actual wet eyes every time I hear it. Honestly the rap line never fails to impress with their charisma and attitude. Their lyrics are genius imo - they dont just do lazy clap backs, they actually have something to say. I love them x

Wow you picked the royal trifecta of rapline songs. I stand by the statement that no one comes close to these three together they put it all in there and all 3 songs live are over the top good. Also special shout-out to producer/composer Suga who produced Ddaeng and wrote the initial sketch/lyrics for Tear. Tear was so powerful that Suga sharing the song with the members brought them all to tears and helped them in the discussions to stay a group (there is extreme honesty and pain and blood in every word of the song). So for that reason I love Tear for being one of the things that helped the guys stay together (in my own head). Ugh is a song with such deep concepts in how online hate is polluting society I could discuss it for hours (a damn brilliant song). No one does it like these three.
