I thought it was disrespectful to Klopp, I was fuming when i heard him!!! its almost like he's saying he wasnt properly coached. Even speaking abt our style of play it seemed he didnt like it, saying that now we're gonna slow down and keep more of the ball. I am a liverpool fan and i am not optimistic of what is to come if we do play as how curtis says we will play, becuz its like we are gonna lose our intensity, and without that we will go bck to be an average PL team.

Wow can't believe I'm actually commenting here because you are clearly looking for clicks. He clearly said (and you missed) that he was happiest in terms of playing style. Jones is a player that likes the ball and the style that Slot is bringing is going to be using the ball a lot more. I have watched all the inside training stuff that Liverpool have put out and the players look very happy and are really enjoying the new training sessions. I completely agree I've been watching the training sessions myself and it looks good they are all moving the ball quick one and two touches playing fast football I'm excited to see how we play next season. Even the Preston game we lost and played a lot of youngsters you could see how quick we were moving the ball. It's going to take a little time but I think Slot will do a good job for us.

I don’t think Jone was been disrespectful or ungrateful to Klopp, matter if you’ll ask Klopp he’ll tell no player was more sad of him leaving than Jones. This’s my theory on what he said; Jones love to hold on to the ball sometime a bit too much and wasn’t always idea under Klopp considering he like his teams to be direct. Under Arne Slot he believe they’ll be more possession base and hold on to the ball more like Guadiola’s city and that would suit his play much better.

This take feels like a bit of an overreaction, to be honest. I don't think it's disrespectful to speak your truth if you are not calling anyone out. Certain players thrive more than others in certain styles. It's clear that - even at this early stage - he feels the adjustments to the style suit him. If you watch the full presser, you'll see he goes on to explain that Slot favours less directness, more patience and greater control over the ball. Since Jones is probably among the best in the squad at retaining possession under pressure in tight spaces and recycling the ball, it's no surprise that this change suits him a bit more. Also talking about goals and assists betrays a total misunderstanding of his role in Klopp's teams. He was one of our most influential players for a decent stretch of last season when we were doing well. Pretty weak analysis, to be honest. Will be interested to see how Curtis' role develops this season and whether he can forge a regular place for himself in the team.

Not surprised Jones is happier - Klopp is a legend but he always used his midfielders very defensively to allow the fullbacks and front 3 to create and score. These guys analysis of Jones’ statement is so dam poor. Only Curtis, Klopp and the other players know what took place on the training ground and only Curtis knows “what makes him happy”. Who are you, myself or anyone else to determine the what makes Curtis or any other player happy. Why should it be concluded that because Klopp gave Curtis the opportunity, that that’s what’s makes the player “HAPPIER OR HAPPIEST”. Curtis may well be forever grateful and respect Klopp for such opportunity but was that opportunity “the thing” that brought the most joy to the player? It may well be the MOST IMPACTFUL thing in his career but NOT NECESSARILY THE HAPPIEST. If this is the case, I can’t see where he disrespected Klopp. Frankly, I don’t expect better from Gabby; in my opinion he is such a poor presenter and football analyst. He was being honest and let's be honest klopp wasn't doing this role after the first 4 years it became ljinders doing all that klopp was running club as a hole why we dropped off cause wasn't getting klopps full attention fsg are to blame as much as they get right they've got just as much wrong etc look at this transfer window and listen to what he actually said he likes the style of play as suits his idea of football more 😂 over top Gabby disrespected klopp more 😂

So Curtis is being honest saying he is as happy as he has ever been at Liverpool and is enjoying coaching with the new manager and that makes him disrespectful to Klopp! This is ridiculous! If that's how he feels snd is being honest how the hell is that disrespectful.
