To answer your question about cold coffee versus hot coffee - some iced coffees/cold brews can have lower acidity or lower caffeine relative to hot coffee/espresso. You should try half-caf or decaf as well since caffeine in general relaxes the lower esophageal sphincter = more GERD symptoms. Enjoy that iced coffee girl! 👏🏼💕

Iced coffee is normally less acidic than hot coffee so that is probably why your GERD is less bothered by the iced coffee. That is how it works for me too!

Heat tends to relax things so I'm thinking the hot coffee could be relaxing the sphincter between the stomach and esophagus allowing more acid to come up? I drink iced coffee year round no matter the temperature 😌

I would recommend The Dream Job by Kiersten Modglin. It has a great twist at the end that I've personally never seen before. At least not done the way that it is. I loved it.

If you haven't already try Widow Falls by Kiersten Modglin! I enjoyed it way more that The Arrangement, way more 'believable' plot twist and more enjoyable storyline for me!

I’ve almost finished True Crime Story by Joseph Knox and I think you would really enjoy it! It’s written in an interview format (just like daisy jones and the six) and it’s about this girl who went missing in Manchester and you’re literally solving the mystery yourself as the book goes. It’s in a true crime format as well ☺️

We must protect Vero at all costs! I felt the same way about the second book I still liked it but not as much as the first. Which I usually feel that way about sequels. Alsoooooo omg Devil House was an instant DNF for me. It’s literally a literary fiction about writing true crime and I was so confused. I was like wtf is this 😂

I just finished reading Good Rich People last night and now I'm rewatching this vlog to see what your thoughts on the end was! It was so interesting for most of it but I was kind of disappointed with the end. I wish there were more "life ruining" plots to it Also my favourite line "There's a body I set fire to. I’m glad I’m not alone with my thoughts on Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead! I gave it four stars, which is still really good, but I was a little disappointed given that Finlay Donovan Is Killing It was my number two favorite of 2021 😩 I really couldn’t pinpoint why I wasn’t enjoying it as much, but it was still a fun ride. I’m so glad you loved Good Rich People, I’m reading that this month and was hyping it up in my head 🤣 Also that cider is soooo good! Ace has a pineapple one that’s really tasty, I wonder if you’d like that?

Gabby, I feel like I'm always commenting about GERD lol but with the iced coffee thing....iced drinks are usually less caffeinated and less acidic. Cold brew is even better than iced coffee, acid-wise (for me at least). I know some people only drink decaf and that helps them. Could never be me!

I read Finlay Donovan Knocks Em Dead and The Sorority Murder last week. I enjoyed Finlay, but I didn't find myself laughing as much as I did during the first one. I really enjoyed The Sorority Murder and was surprised when I finished it in a day. I liked it and was looking for something I thought would have a similar vibe. I picked up In My Dreams I Hold A Knife. But I think its a DNF. :(
