Although El Salvador is a poor country without much international tourism, it is also admirable for having managed to get out of the abyss of crime without spilling the blood of its people. Its president has become renowned for using a new method against crime. Tourism will one day come to this small country when it is more developed and has the means to compete with the heavyweights of the international tourism industry CONGRATULATIONS EL SALVADOR AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
@rexx94969 ай бұрын
Well the method of fighting crime is just throwing people in jail with no due process. Even if they are not proven criminals. Maybe the locals feel that's worth it but there are probably lots of people in jail who didn't actually do anything.
@frederickgestenecker129 ай бұрын
@@rexx9496 There are no easy solutions to control crime in an entire country, however this margin of error also exists in countries that call themselves developed or from the first world. What is important for the moment must be measured in terms of results and well-being of the vast majority. Returning to the topic of tourism, public safety is a factor that will help attracting tourists to that small country. However the government must control prices especially in the most touristic areas. Otherwise it will not be possible for Salvador to become a tourist destination.

@@frederickgestenecker12 Perhaps to some degree a heavy hand was necessary, but it's a highly corrupt country and often people with friends in the government rat someone out just because they don't like them. All in all the situation is preferable to Nicaragua, but there is also an "atmosphere", let's say. And as I commented to another, I've had people burst into tears while talking to me in El Salvador because they cannot stand their life of poverty any more. Bitcoin is not fixing anything, it's all marketing, and despite being a "de jure" currency, hardly anyone transacts with it, and the only "de facto" currency is the foreign minted US dollar.

@eelaypaix3839 Methinks that these comments are not artificially generated by any type of "bot," but by real people. Most likely, they fall into two categories. The first would comprise people who believe that they should be able to travel anywhere around the world and obtain great accommodations at dirt-cheap prices and those who do not travel themselves, but still believe the exact same thing. The second would be those on the left who support criminals over victims and who enthusiastically embrace "The Revolution," and who will never forgive President Nayib Bukele for breaking the criminal gangs and restoring hope to the people of El Salvador that their country can possibly be a successful and stable nation.

El Salvador does not have international tourism and the only ones who visit us, are our people who work hard and live in the USA. They are to blame because when they come are so happy that they pay any price for what it should be much cheaper . But tourists don't come here from Europe, North America or Asia. If you go to Guatemala, you see thousands of tourists from all over the world. Something is wrong with Tourism here in our country and if we keep raising prices for the few who visit us, our turists will always be GUANACOS that don't care to charge their credit cards. Money that they will pay later with interest doing a very hard job in USA

Part of the problem is the air connections. I live in Dubai and plan to visit, and the ONLY sensible connection I could find was via Mexico (avoiding the US with their ridiculous "everything goes through immigration"). There is one connection that shuts down soon from IIRC Madrid directly. El Salvador needs a proper airline to pull people in - Emirates was the (one of) to the success of Dubai.

The question here is whether El Salvador is a tourist destination where it is worth spending a fortune? The answer can be found by visiting nearby countries with greater tourism development such as Mexico, Costa Rica or Guatemala, where for the equivalent in money you get much higher quality in food, accommodation and natural beauty. If El Salvador really wants to attract international tourism, it must accept its reality and lower its prices, in addition to improving its tourist infrastructure. I It won't be quick or easy, but it will be the only way to evolve and be able to compete.
@orod31029 ай бұрын
absolutely- the infrastructure is not there yet many places are taking advantage of the trickling tourists. This will only dissuade folks from coming out once they see what is going on.

With the recent world-wide press reporting that the gangs are under control, tourism is picking up greatly. Restaurant and hotel owners are trying to make up for years of slow business by overcharging the tourists of today. The prices are definitely off the charts as illustrated by the fact you don’t see any locals at these places. It’s a pretty country and the people are nice, but they definitely have learned well the spirit of capitalism!😊

Let's be honest for one minute. These vlogs are like, heck I'm here and I need to earn so let's hard sell this destination. Tell us when you plan to return to this beautiful country? Since it's such a great place, I'm sure you'll want to return sooner then later. It's right up there with Greek Islands. In it? This is definitely not a destination missing from my bucket list.

5:01. Exactly what we said last time...Uber Lyft see heap rides and drop riders cause it's to cheap making you wait a long time to get someone to accept the short heap journey. My girlfriend just paid $8 to go one block 😂😂😂..now here in tye states $8 to go one block is worth it..😂😂go figure

Do you get lonely traveling alone?

Apparently not

I almost always travel alone, and never feel lonely as there are usually lots of people around to interact with, traveling toghether with somone is something I find annoying as there has to be compromises on itineraries based on different interests.

Those high tide pools seam like an environmental disaster. Let's make pools that are sealed shut during the day, and opened up during the night. The fish can swim in and live with all of the dirty people, tanning and moisturizing oils, hair conditioners, cologne and perfume. I'm sure they will love it.

ES is expensive. No other LA country would charge that much for that restaurant tab in that environment. The dollar kills tourism there.

Doesn't look like a tourist magnet. 06:09 That driver is one of those pumping pedal drivers. Everybody will get vomit sick after 10 minutes of riding on that bus.
