Gabriel Hershman on the life and career of actor Ian Hendry

This is a 22-minute documentary on the life and career of Ian Hendry (1931-1984) which I narrated as an additional feature to accompany the release of a Blu-ray boxset featuring Hendry's film Assassin (made in 1972) and other Pemini films of that era.
The documentary tells the story of Hendry's rise and fall but also I try to explain his unique gifts as an actor. My narration is interspersed with clips from Hendry's work such as The Internecine Project, Repulsion, Vendetta for the Saint, The Lotus Eaters and Ian's This is Your Life as well as - naturally enough - Assassin itself, which was skillfully directed by Peter Crane. The documentary was edited by James Blackford from Powerhouse Films.
