I also have a 16 year old chihuahua. Her name is Pixie and only has 4 teeth. You have to be careful when giving her treats. She knows how to use her 4 teeth. Last year, we found her. She survived a spay, tumor removal, and a dental. Pixie does also have cancer, but we're convinced she's still gonna live a while. She is a very stubborn old lady.

Sorry to hear that. Enjoy every minute with her. I also have an old little senior gal she's 15. Unfortunately she has cancer as well. We just take it one day at a time. She loves life and is always hanging in there. Best daughter ever!!

Bless you for taking in Pixie! Seniors - especially special needs seniors - deserve the good life, too! 🥰 I lost my sweet little terrier mix to cancer a few months ago at 17½yo, but she was able to live for years with a great quality of life after her cancer first appeared. I think her CBD treats and terrier tenacity had something to do with it. These "stubborn old ladies" are fighters! ❤️

My childhood dog made it to that age. It was also her last year but she made it to 15. We got her when I as 9 and she died when I was 24. She was a labrador retriever, which is even more impressive!

My Chihuahua is 15 now. Her name is Baby but her Dad says she is a princess. Chihuahuas have been in my life for 62 years. All of my dogs are rescues. Anyone that loves a dog like Fluffy does is a good person.

In my living room hangs a great big 4 x 5 canvas of a Volkswagen bus and in the corner is a memorial to my mother for our two trips from Texas> West “California or bust!” Where we went from rags to riches! So thank you so much! I would give anything to have a VW bus myself ~and I hope that dream comes true (feel free to gift me one of yours!) Haha😂😮😲

I'm s retired srnior who loves to rescue old Chi's to have a loving and spoiled lead up to the bridge. I've adopted three so far (one at a time) 14 yo (rescue ownrr told me dog was in rescue 2yrs, and would likely die thrre; I said nope, she be mine), 11 yo (very nervous boy), and 15 yo, lived w us for 3 years. Looking for my next one; found a 14yo, 15 yo, and a 12 yo; waiting for rescues and shelter to give me info on them to see which is best fit (e.g., most needy). Hard to have to only adopt one. At least I'm not only one adopting oldies; I know of four that were adopted while I was involved with family medical issue in New England. I had done paperwork before leaving, but dogs couldn't be held til I got back home. Blessings to all who adopt dogs and cats of any age, but esp seniors.

Just saw this amazing man in Wilkes Barre, PA. Funny, animated, intelligent, thoughtful and inspiring. I hope the Volkswagen mugs and pen reached you and Martin. They wouldn’t let me bring it in the arena but a lovely lady promised to get them to you. My first car was a pale yellow VW hatchback and someone t-boned me going through a red light. Love that you love your pups. I do, too. And I have two currently. Cleo is a 12 year old rescue. Did you know Chihuahuas can live to be in their 30's?! You said all of yours have been males - all of mine have been females, and seniors. I had two sets of sisters - 2 were 12, two were 14. Love of my life was Momo - she made it to 16. I now have a Chihuahua/Pekingese cross. She is only 3 ! Adopted from a Humane Society, she fit in perfectly. So, see? We have Chihuahuas in common. And I sure like some chocolate cake now and then!
