Fair warning If your coming on the weekends, the traffic is ridiculous. Highly recommend renting a beach cruiser. South Lake the city is small. All you will need a car for is Emerald Bay/Eagle Falls area but if you go there make sure to be there before 9am or you will have no parking. Enjoy our City my friend!

I lived in South Lake for about a year and a half from 98-99. It's been 20 years since I was last there. We'll be there in late June through Independence Day. I told my wife it will take her a few minutes to take in just how beautiful it is when she first looks out at that wondrous scene.

Such a beautiful and interesting video! Last time we explored the lake from south to Emerald Bay. This time we are planning to travel from south -east to North.( Zephyr cove, etc) Please tell me there are no crazy roads on that side, such as 89 to Emerald bay,(windy, steep from both sides with no railing )or do we need to be prepared for something like that? haha yes emerald bay road can be pretty scary the first time you drive it! I think thats the only one like that! the only other one I can think of is HWY 41 which it doesnt sound like you are going on

Absolutely….Cave Rock in South Lake Tahoe is a beautiful spot and a prime sunset spot with beautiful views of the lake…it’s a short hike about 12 minutes …I also notice people do engagement shoots there ….congratulations!!!💍

Amazing video Gabriella, tomorrow is my last day in Lake Tahoe and this video convinced me to spend it in Lester Beach. My plan is to get there at 10am, do you think that's too late to find a good parking spot? Or do you think I should go earlier? By the way I'm in the north side of Lake Tahoe, do you know of a nice place that you would recommend to watch the sunrise?

10am should be fine …if parking is full you can always park on the road and hike down …it is an extra two miles but it’s a good workout (at least that’s what I tell myself )😎😎……there are a couple of piers that open to the public which are great spots to catch the sunrise …or there eagle rock ..which is a very short hike overlooking the northwest shore

I think Glen Alpine Falls is usually pretty dry in the fall depending on the year...i usually go in the spring and summer...renting a boat and exploring emerald bay and the rubicon trail area sounds amazing

Heard it might be still closed cuz of the fire.I use to live in Rubicon Bay for a year in 1977 but work took me to Sacramento.Spent every summer there in the 60s and 70s as my parents owned a house in Rubicon.DON'T EVER LEAVE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT !!! DO you have a favorite bar in Stateline? Preferably not in casinos .

Whats the water temperature in the lake? We'll be there in about 2 weeks. I've never been in that area or any area like that before. Water temp here is usually 85-90 degrees (south Louisiana)

Ha it’s much colder ...I don’t know the exact temp but probably in the high 60s ...I always stick to the shoreline and coves when swimming ...it’s nice on a hot day!

@@GabriellaViola Russell, Gabriella is right, the average surface temperature of Lake Tahoe in the summer is 63 degrees. If you dive down just 18 inches it can drop to 53 cold degrees, so I would suggest that you swim at the surface. Brrrrrrr but invigorating !

Hi Christian, I don't know much about the camping situation because I have never camped in Tahoe....also there might be issues with campfires, I am not sure if they are allowing them in Tahoe due to the drought. I do have to say that the campsites at DL Bliss look amazing in terms of the location. If I was going to camp in Tahoe, that is where I would want to do it!

palisades at tahoe , tram ride to near top and swimming pool. hike up for free ride down tram . even with a dog but that might have changed. old CEO liked dogs.

Sorry to say I apologize and I hope you except my apologies or don't but I'm glad they're taking out the Kmart because South lake Tahoe is not a shopping place to go shopping is skiing boating and that kind of stuff there shouldn't be a big shop store up in here makes no sense it just brings more traffic and more more English and more it needs to stop it needs to be a lazy little town like it was not this shopping hub go to Jackson California or go to Carson if you want to go do major shopping.
