I'm actually incredibly frustrated that they would try to adapt this to a movie. It needs to be a limited series. It would work so well as a series and there's no way they could do it justice in two hours.

I just finished the book and I have to say it is brilliant. It nearly gave me tears with its beautiful depiction of true friendship. the characters are very relatable. They become so important to you that you can't put down the book. well-done Gabrielle Zevin. I am looking forward to seeing its movie.

I absolutely love this book and would love to see some of the games in real life! I think Both Sides and Ichigo would be awesome to play, but also Solution sounded fun! I'm absolutely obsessed with the world, Gabrielle created and Emily Blaster is an awesome game!

I would never have chosen this but I was so lucky to receive it as a gift! I could not stop reading! The typeface is just so smooth you roll along effortlessly. Nothing is predictable! Wonderful because I use books to go into other worlds( like games are used) but I never saw the parallel.

I read it and it is a joy. I lived in San Francisco in the tech phase around 2000, and I also lived in Venice in 2005, so it really feels like I could have known the character in the book.

Good not great book. The game ideas are not original and as a gamer that is not fulfilling. I like how when she describes the book she mentions art before video games as a theme and that is true throughout the book.

I didn't love this book, but neither did the woman I read it with. Her analysis of the words of Shakespeare was deeply textually incorrect, and the whole thing smacks of trying too hard to be woke in the most confusing way. Read Macbeth instead.
