Thank you much for this idea. I made a modified version for anyone struggling with the headband version like I am. I have a couple videos up on my channel using a similar concept. I wanted to start with my timing and work my way up...... Eventually I want to get up to speed with the headband version. Thanks again!

I've been using reflex balls for about two years now quite frequently, i feel like it really helps the footwork and makes it easy to practice moving and punching at the same time :)

I flinch a lot during sparring and I way I’ve tried to combat this is throwing the ball straight and blocking or slipping it while keeping eyes focused. A more advanced step might be parrying/countering as it comes back towards me. Hopefully this helps someone. Thank you for the awesome videos! 🤙

I’ve noticed another good advanced drill is focusing on a point in the distance and hitting the ball without looking at the ball with your centralized vision. I feel like it helped me see hits that are coming from my peripheral vision and react to them with more certainty. Also to get the rhythm down I noticed that sitting down and practicing the feel of it while watching tv is helpful, because then when adding it to training it’ll be a little more fast pace after that week-month period of getting it down.

@dunerunner77
@dunerunner77 2 жыл бұрын
@@faiz7180 I bought padded training gloves. I knew a boxer who always criticised me for not using wraps. He was right. My hands are stiff these days and I regret not listening. Look after your hands. Also without something covering the knuckles the ball will bounce off them at odd angles, so padding helps with that.
