6. Self-discipline 7. Intelligence 8. Tenacity Really glad uve done this Gabriel. A definite contender for best overall technician in ANY combat sport of our current times. 🙏 PS. I use a tonne of karate techniques in the Muay Thai too, but people seem to HATE my stepping sidekicks to the sternum the most 😝
@paulpelle30462 жыл бұрын
@@stanclark3992 hahaha! Yes Stan, it’s just that all those ‘extra’ ones on YOUR list aren’t especially helpful. 🤷♂️😝 PS. Good to see you’re still with us btw Stan! ✌️😂 PPS. In the Bible it speaks of there being ‘none so blind as those who shall not see’. Literally EVERYONE in martial arts knows the unspoken hierarchy of disciplines. Thai boxing was developed to KILL with 8 weapons on the battlefield when all other weapons had gone. And Muay Thai 100% works ‘on da streets’. 😎 Karate roundhouses are like the softener before the big blow comes. Like the 1 in a 1-2 combo. You can definitely knock people out with your tarsals and metatarsals...but a shin bone smashing into your liver at full power? Goodnight Mr. Clark. Goodnight 🤔😝🙏
@paulpelle30462 жыл бұрын
@@stanclark3992 you keep forgetting that karate was my first love bruh. There’s not much you can tell me about it. I use karate roundhouses as they can only be used. They’re typically NOT devastating strikes. Thanks for agreeing with me. ✌️🤣🙏
@paulpelle30462 жыл бұрын
@@stanclark3992 wtf?! Stan Clark ‘strikes’ again. 🙄 I only WISH that I could do ANY kick as well as Gabriel. I cannot. You cannot. Probably 98+% of subscribers here cannot. No offence folks 😁 This is purely about physics and mechanics. A typical karate roundhouse to the body couldn’t dream of causing the kind of damage that a stepped-off Muay Thai roundhouse does...even a fairly static Thai roundhouse (with minimal hip rotation, little weight transfer, and slight pivot) is exponentially more powerful than most karate kicks. It’s cool how passionate you are about karate, but it’s also important to keep your mind open. I know each style’s weaknesses. Do you? 🤔😜🙏
@paulpelle30462 жыл бұрын
@@stanclark3992 I don’t really know what you’re implying (as usual), but I’m certain of this: Gabriel’s gonna absolutely maul those KC guys. I’ll be really really shocked if I’m wrong. He just brings too much to the table, and is a very powerful striker for 145-149lbs too. I’m excited for the debut. ✌️🙏

Great Video Gabriel! Your analysis is always insightful. I say: 1) Valentina Shevchenko (it looks like a video game when we see how clean her striking is). 2) Gennady Golovkin (we already have Canelo’s, so we need his greatest rival’s, especially if they meet for a third bout). 3) Georges St Pierre (the eternal martial artist).

1. Left hook is strong and confident, especially as counter off a block. Can vary the distance from close in vs long 2. Balance exercise from diff stances or styles. Simply stand on one foot, close your eyes to increase difficulty 3. Different fighting styles: karate with high kicks and distance, then trained w boxers close in a better hands, Mui Tai for clench and elbows. Advantage is unpredictable, as dangerous at all distances and situations. 4. Cardio is king. With good cardio, able to execute. Without good cardio, cannot execute 5. Defense...put in effort, and learn efficiency to conserve energy and block punches and kicks Bonus: combine strengths and make brain work, ie cardio and balance. Even when tired can still throw/kick

I’m curious what you think of the low kicks of Justin Gaethje. He’s one of the best in the ufc at destroying people with that low calf kick and I didn’t know if there’s anything special he’s doing. With Karate Combat allowing calf kicks and using smaller gloves idk if you’d studied how Gaethje is so good at attacking that calf.
@gantonia992 жыл бұрын
Don't think there is anything necessarily special about his technique, it's fast and accurate. He supposedly has crazy bone density though(highest in ufc?) and if you've gone shin to shin ever you know how much it hurts to kick or be kicked by a shin that feels like metal. If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing it well its pretty much like getting wacked by a baseball bat.
