I'm not really at the level to notice all these nuances, but what as an amateur has really struck me out the most of all things are those feints. It's so impressive. It's just constantly doing something, when some fighters are basically combo -> wait -> combo -> wait.
@yomi_jeremy3964 Жыл бұрын
Highly level striking is a game of timing basically . And fencing concepts. Not how hard you punch or how tough you care. Timing + precision
@Ninjacob00 Жыл бұрын
If you watch Adesanya or Sean you see while other fighters mix feints with strikes, they feint constantly and mix strikes to the point the opponent has no idea what they’re gonna do
@SantaFeMMA Жыл бұрын
The way I like to think of feint is programming buttons. If I feint and get the same reaction twice I can assume that they'll react the same the third time.
@hartake6667 Жыл бұрын
Yes! soft feints and they get reads. I used to teach dancing and can see how this throws people off
@yomi_jeremy3964 Жыл бұрын
In street fighter and fighting game language , you’re using fakes to disrupt them and gain frame advantage…and to get a read. If I had to draw a rock paper scissors comparison , defending beats attacking , feinting beats defending, and attacking beats faking/feinting.
@whoknows8223 Жыл бұрын
I would like to hear more on his footwork. It was so good Aljamain had no chance to track him down/cut him off
@bleacchy Жыл бұрын
well footwork at its very core is just going side to side, and foward and backwards. sean o malley goes side to side in a very weird rhythm. its all about your rhythm as you go foward, backward, left, or right. Remember. When u move foward, use your back foot to propel you foward. (think of the back foot as a spring) when you go backwards, use your front foot to launch you backwards.

Man Manny Pacquio keeps getting mentioned in your videos. I'm now dying to learn why nobody fights like him. Some pro fighter thinks his style is ugly or too reckless, but his style didn't change much from when he become champion at age 16
@GabrielVargaOfficial Жыл бұрын
I like his style. I do think it would be harder to learn. His natural gifts make the style conducive to what we see. But we all don't have enormous calves and the rest of his physique. But maybe time to do an episode on him.

I can front kick to head level and side kick to head level but roundhouse is a bit of a problem. What is the cause of this/how to fix it?
@GabrielVargaOfficial Жыл бұрын
Could be shoulder not rotating. Could be lack of pivot or elevation in standing leg. Could be you're not leaning back a little as you kick. Could be one of another 10 common mistakes people make when throwing head kicks.
