Don't buy this product within 10 minutes of me flying the Drone it crashed over water and when I called Parrot in France which is their home base they tell you you're shit out of luck and then they say the instructions say for you not the fly overwater apparently the sensors have issues when the Drone is flown over the water. The reflection from the water causes the drone to crash ( 4 or 6 axis) controll and it shuts the system down. Do not buy it spend the extra money on any DJI product. If you don't believe me call the headquarters yourself. On another note I after fighting with them for months they finally sent me my Bebop 2 fpv flying pack which I plan on selling if anyone is interested for $325. I will use that money to buy a DJI drone.

If I were to sum it up it would be the portability, stability and long flight time. I can just leave the props on, drive to my flying spot and get in the air in just a couple of minutes. Sucker locks in with GPS and barely moves in a hover even in high winds and I consistently get at least 20-minutes of flight time.

I shall be interested in how you get on with your new drone, as I have just received my bebop 2 (June 3rd) including the back pack and extra battery but due to bad weather I have not be able to take it out for a test flight yet. I think the Bebop 2 pkg deal offers a lot for the price, unlike the dji spark, which you have to buy the controller separate and the battery last only 10 minutes from test I have seen on youtube, the camera is certainly no better than the bebop from video I have seen.

Way cool, Gadget. Just picked up the bebop 1, used, and it's performing really well with the fly pad/phone combo. I know others have had issues, but I've had nothing but success with mine. Camera isn't as good as my Q500 4k, but fun none the less.

Hey RT Mac. I agree 100%, as long as you know what you're getting you'll be happy with these Parrots. Its not going to be professional video quality, but it is pretty good quality nonetheless. You can find those Bebop 1's for like $150 now I think, which isn't bad at all.

I like the video keep up the good work. As for me I have so many drones I can't keep count. I'm currently playing with my new mavic Pro my inductrix fp+ and my torrent. But I still fly my Bebop 1 I've even got 2 new batteries for it. I've crashed it and had to do major overhauls to the frame and the lens and still it flies it just won't die! I'm sure the Bebop 2 is just as sturdy. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see what you do vids on next.

Do you know what the different colors mean in the summery part of the Free flight Pro app?.Mine started out green then it gradually changed Yellow Orange Red..Then my BB2 dropped out of the ski, Luckily it recorded it 's last location and I was able to retrieve it with just one prop broke. That's your GPS strength indicator. As long as you don't launch until both GPS icons are green, you shouldn't have a problem. However, if you're flying on a day where the KP Index is high, you could have trouble with maintaining a solid GPS signal. With that said, that should not cause the drone to just fall out of the sky. Are you using the stock battery or something third-party? Try this app to monitor KP: UAV Forecast. It'll tell you whether it's a good day to fly or not.

@@GadgetInspector Ok so I learned since I posted my question that I was connected to my phones WIFI and not the controller. Does the controller have a WIFI built in it? It must rite? Also do I have to do the calibrating steps at evry knew location or does the BB2 automatically pick up it location?..Thanks for your quick reply by the way.

I calibrate when I'm in a new location. I'm talking over 20-miles are something like that, not within a closer vicinity. You can connect to the BB2 in two ways for control: 1) using your phone alone, or 2) using the Skycontroller 2 and your phone for the video feed. Here are the steps I take when connecting: 1. turn on the BB2 and let it power on until the red light stops flashing. 2. turn on the SkyController 2 until you see a solid green light. 3. Connect your phone to the SkyController 2 via USB cable and the FreeFlight Pro app should open automatically. If it doesn't, just go to your phone settings, find the BB2 wifi signal, connect and then open the app. I have never had a problem following those steps.

Dude ... I really like your videos .... I had three parrot Bebop 2 and down to one left .... I keep losing them to batteries (non oem) they will have 20% Power and then drop to like 3% without warning and then go to critical before they return .... I tried tracking and even sent another drone out on a flight plan to see if I could retrieve it from the great void ... no luck..... any advice on decent Bebop 2 batteries that are actually reliable.

What's up Aaron? I have been so tempted to get third party batteries but I've been hesitant for that exact reason. The stock batteries drop faster after 10%, but I had a pretty hairy situation once where I was out quite a distance and pulled back full pitch and luckily made it back home in time...at 0%. I say bite the bullet and get 'em OEM everytime, that's what I do.

To get the full range out of this bird (or any GPS drone for that matter) you need to be in an area without a lot of interference from other signals. In populated or residential areas range will always be reduced. With that said, I can confirm that you can get at least 1.2 miles of range out of this bird. Thanks for watching by the way. I noticed that you are using the Garmin VIRB edit templates for your videos. May I ask what operating system (Windows ) version you are running and what versions of the VIRB edit program as well as the version of the FlightData Manager you are using. I've been having problems with getting the " pitch " and " tilt " data to work/show in the templates. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Is there any main difference in the SC1 and the SC2 ? I just got my bebop 2 yesterday I took it out for a test run and it was working properly at first. I installed the latest update and it didn’t give me any further instructions other than how to mount the propellers and downloading the app. But after I switched locations and pressed launch it went up super high on its own and I lost control it was unresponsive to the commands on my iPad. I don’t know what I did wrong. I want to buy a controller I’m thinking that would help with the WiFi signal I just don’t know which one is better.

There could be any number of things wrong here and it's hard to troubleshoot this way, but my first impression is that the BB2 was not calibrated after the update and/or GPS lock was not established before taking off. I haven't experienced that, so it's hard to know really without seeing it. Both of those controllers are compatible with the BB2, but the SC2 will get you better range and is more compact. There are also settings in the app for the type of control you want to use. If you're using your iPad, make sure the Piloting Mode is Joypad. Those are just a few things that come to mind.

Yep, and it has a nice black paint job which is freaking cool. Parrot released a firmware update around the same time as the release of the Power, so all Bebop 2's got the added features. I haven't had a chance to test them out yet, but I'll break everything down in a video once I do. The higher capacity batteries are also compatible with the original BB2 by the way.

Sounds like you may have the props on wrong, but I thought they were setup in a way where you could only put them on the right way. That sounds like its the props though. You can also check your motor health by clicking on the drone icon in the app.

Is it propeller (props) you are talking about who might be wrong? I see the probes have different stickers brand color .. Is it because they have to be special on the drone .. Yellow to Yellow and Blue to Blue I have watched other videos where people think wifi should turn off and only use bluetouth What is your best experience

If it's not the propellers, I'm not sure what it could be. I've never had a problem with wifi or bluetooth with my iphone 6s+. It sounds like what happens when the props are installed wrong, but if you have them on correctly it must be something else. Kinda hard to determine without seeing it. Not sure the app would affect it the way you described.

This is a common question and I don't know if I have an adequate answer. My understanding is that metric or imperial is determined by the region selected in the settings of your phone or tablet. So if you are in a country using the metric system that's what your tablet will default to...and vice-versa.

That's actually for the best to have multiple identities on the internet. There's a lot of identify theft and social engineering to get at people's financial information or just to be evil. A little misdirection is actually wise as long as you're not using it to deceive people. There's a lot of darkness on the internet which is just a microcosm of this fallen world. That's ok because lights shines the brightest in the darkest of places.

Here's one I recently reviewed that I'm super impressed with: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bn_ai4mpebyDgtE. It's cheap too. You have to add a camera and mount, but it has really good GPS and geofencing failsafes. Or, you could go with something like this: amzn.to/2zMDnFE. It's basically a rebrand of the Bugs 2; I've been testing it and it is really good. I haven't filmed the review yet though. There are others, but this would be a long post.
