Hi Gadget Inspector, I too still enjoy flying my Bebop2. It was ahead of it's time in gimbal-less stabilized cameras. I also own an Anafi, EVO, Mavic Pro and Phantom 3. My only criticism is when the battery gets below 20% and goes from 20% to 0% in a matter of 40-50 seconds!!

Sounds like you have a really nice collection of drones. I would really like to test that Anafi out. I don't think I'll be getting rid of my BB2, but I don't fly it as much due to getting the Mavic 2 Pro amongst others. You're right about that battery, but mine doesn't accelerate until 10%. Once it hits 10% I know I better be in the process of landing.

Good video. The "follow me" feature of the Bebop 2 drone is set up for a max distance for small targets (aka people) for 25 meters max. It can follow further if the target is larger like a car. Also wearing clothing that is contrast to your surrounding when using the follow me feature is advised (such as black, red or blue depending on your background, like grass) . Just a little info...

I just got this xmas, it's awesome! I'm not that new to drones but this is my first video recording drone. I was very impressed with its ease of use ease of use, setup and how stable this thing flys in good wind. Its stays in place very nice. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this on our next vacation up in the Flagstaff snow next month. Great video gonna be very helpful.

Thanks for the video. I have the Parrot Anafi and I have to say it has all the same special modes and features that you have to purchase extra, which I think is cool that they let you have have it on an old gen Parrot bird. DJI doesn't do that at all ..they don't share their special new modes with the old DJI birds. I actually just bought a Bebop 2 FVP for under 300 USD. I couldn't believe how low the price was and I couldn't resist lol. It's not as good camera wise from the Anafi but IMHO it's more fun to fly than the Anafi.

I'd like to get my hands on that Anafi at some point. You have any videos up on it yet? Most of what I was hoping the BB2 had the Anafi has: removable file storage, 4K camera, etc. But as you say, for the price you get a really nice drone. Have been flying the Mavic 2 Pro a lot and it's the best I've ever flown, but I won't be getting rid of the BB2. Thanks for stopping by.

Gadget Inspector I’ve been fostering a puppy the past 6+ weeks, which has kept me very busy. That being said, I’m dying to get out and FLY! Lol I think my drones are mad at me!? Ha ha I will soon though, she (Ellie) has found a forever home and will be going there after she’s been neutered and vaccinated in a couple weeks. I’m sad to see her go, but very happy she’s found a home. It’s bitter sweet. 😪

Great vid, really shows the bebop 2's features. I have a Parrot Disco as my first drone, but still want a quad as well. As I already have the controller, the bebop 2 is looking like a very cheap way of doing that. You've really helped me make that push to purchase!

I live in the woods and crash a LOT, the bebop 2 is bulletproof, out of 286 flights I've crashed 82 times. Still takes fantastic videos and performs as new. I should mention I replaced the X member twice. Cheap and easy to replace.

Hello there. Are the fires dying down at all? The BB2 will always be one of my favorite drones. I did just sell mine to make room for a new drone. The FAA has recently proposed Remote ID requirements that will become effective in about 3-years. It may cause some disruption if the regulation remains as is. There's both good and bad in it, but the main concern for hobbyists is that places to fly will be extremely limited if their drone(s) aren't outfitted with the remote ID technology. We will see.

Gadget Inspector Hi, fires are considerably reduced, possibly halved mainly due some good rain falls, but The Snowy is still bad. That is where your 3 brave compatriots died water bombing in very dangerous conditions. Trouble is that it will be worse as each year comes along. Good to hear restrictions may be 3 years away? I can well understand the reason for restrictions. Is it big money to have remote ID? Thanks for replying, I find your videos entertaining, apart from being informative. I've just got a used bebop2 power for $200, I've only flown it once but seems really nice for the price. I see you've got a few videos of Cleveland, do you know of any good places with lots of open space to practice flying?

Can't beat that price at all. I haven't been home enough to nail down any good spots. With that said, as long as you get LAANC authorization you can fly most places as long as it's not right on top of an airport. One day I'm going to try to get some shots from Edgewater or other spots along the shoreline.

Hi. So our bebop 2 fell from sky spinning uncontrollably first time my son tried it:( Now the camera is showing static and also shoes vertical camera error and can’t connect the WiFi . Hey Buckeye! Great video, as they all are - you have a gift! I just received my Bebop 2 Power this past week - NIRVANA! Great little drone!!! I do have a couple questions - First, be aware I'm flying with my Android cell phone hooked to the Skycontroller 2 ... with that in mind, how on earth do I get Freeflight Pro to read out my speed and altitude in FEET???? I seem to be stuck in meters! I've looked for something in setup to change this, but no joy. Second, although I did buy Flight Plan, and it seems I have Follow Me working properly, they seem to differ from your videos - first, Flight Plan doesn't seem to have a "lock", so setting up waypoints has become quite an adventure! And, for some reason when I try to "play" a plan, it immediately gives me a warning that I haven't calibrated the drone, and refuses to go further. This even though I have just calibrated the drone and sky controller, and have the Bebop cruising 3 feet off the ground, just waiting for input from me! This might be fuel for a new video from you on the ins and outs of getting these gems operational on Android devices!?! Thanks for all you do, and keep flyin'!

The imperial/metric thing has been a common question I get. I'm not sure how Parrot determines it, but there doesn't seem to be a way to manually change it. I have theorized that it is determined by the regional settings in your phone. So, if you live in a region/country on the metric system that's how it will be reflected. This isn't the case for a lot of people it seems. As far as the calibration issue, I have never seen that. I have an old Android phone somewhere around here, so maybe I'll do some testing and maybe a video if time permits. Might not be a bad idea to contact Parrot customer support to see if they can offer some guidance as well. Too bad the Buckeyes went down today....

My bebop 2 will auto track and stay on the subject I select perfectly but it does not give me the auto follow (fly itself) option.. whenever i want to follow an object, I have manually pilot the drone. Any ideas as to why that may be happening?

I have not tried it with the SC1; I have actually been looking for a cheap one, but I haven't looked recently. The SC2 is great because it's much more portable, but the SC1 looks like it would be great for using a tablet and maybe offers more control. If you know of where I could get a cheap one from, let me know.

Hello GI ! One thing I am curious about with FPV that I haven't seen addresses directly. Can you connect 2 devices, phones and/or tablets, to the drone so another person can see the flight? I'm floating between choosing the Parrot Bebop 2 Power or the smaller DJI Spark. Of course there's others too, but these are the main interest for a second drone. First one is a toy Propel... You can with a Skycontroller 1 (it has an hdmi port)... but not with a Skycontroller 2.

It's definitely still good, especially if you can find it for under $200. That's a steal. It does have FPV mode, but it's nothing like a true FPV drone. Not much you can do if your phone is too big...not that I know of at least.

I had an accident landing in deep snow. I had a packed area about 4x4 but it came down just outside that area and buried itself in the snow and kept running. Ended up after drying it off with a bad motor. Can I fly it to me and grab it from underneath, then push the red button on the drone to kill the motors? Kinda the opposite of hand launch. Comments appreciated.

Dave Sherlock Most drones (even toy ones) have flight controllers that will shut the motors down when the drone is turned upside down. So you would probably be better off catching it and turning it upside down than trying to hit that tiny red button. I haven’t tried it with the BB2 but it works with my other drones.

Hello I just bought the BB2 and at the home screen I don't have a options to buy follow me. But at the flight screen I can tap on the follow me man and I can target myself to follow me the only thing it will do is follow me in a circle. This is a common question. There really is no way to set it. I believe it is determined by the regional settings in your phone, so if you are in Europe for example and you have your time zone and other settings reflecting that, your measurements will be in the metric system. Otherwise, I don't think there's a way to change it.

Great video as always - I recently having a problem with my Follow-Me Feature (used to work a week ago). In the auto-follow checklist page, it complains about GPS : "can't launch auto-follow with a weak GPS signal". Drone GPS is checked, but "Device GPS signal" and "Device barometer" remain unchecked. Tried different locations, resynced my galaxy note 8 phon's compass, factory reset Bebop 2, ... with not avail. Any help/suggestion is greatly appreciated - Thanks

Are you in airplane mode? If so, that might be the cause. I believe follow me wants to use the GPS in your phone, but in airplane mode it is off. I believe.

It has been on the market for a while, so the technology is a little bit dated, but I still think it's one of the most underrated drones out there. One of my favorite drones of all time. I say if you can find one grab it. The only two things that I could say are "cons" are video quality and lack of a low battery RTH. Other than that, great quad that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
